I want Sarah Palin's hair!

Sarah Palin has been criticized for having hair styles that are at least ten years outdated. I love her hair, espcially her up-do's. Is there anywhere I can get step-by-step instructions on how to do those styles?

I know how to do it I just don't know how to describe it in english I have a book that shows how to do this and that hair styles but it's in my mother language So you think her hair is beautiful and people think it's outdated? I think it fits woman her age but well I'm not some fashion and style expert

Good to see you! I think her style is elegant. Makes hockey moms look glamourous.

This style is for very heavy hair and may not work for everybody. I think some hairdresser may be able to show you how.

My hair is long and thick. It's a bit difficult to put it up. I'm also having trouble finding a good stylist since I've moved here. So good to see you!

I suppose she puts it in a pony tail and then twists the hair at the back to cover the elastic band, clips in place, and then then arranges the hair around and at the side so it hides it. It is a variation of the bun only a bit more fancier. I have thick hair so it might work, and it is better if your hair is not straight and is best for brown or darker hair.

You make it sound so easy. Maybe I'm in luck. I have thick long and naturally curly hair. Frizz-ease is my best friend. LOL!

How refreshing - a discussion about a political figure that isn't political! I wouldn't say her hairstyle is outdated because the classic up-do or bun, or whatever you choose to call is never really goes out of style. The good thing about it for today is that it's been modified from my mom's younger days when it had to be perfect with every hair in place, and in the SAME place every time but today it's kind of "anything goes". I'd say if none of the "step-by-step" instructions work for you, or if like me you find them too complicated to follow when you have your hands full with your hair and you're trying to read the directions, just take some time and experiment on your own. Bend over and brush or comb your hair and secure it with a hair tie or clip then just do different things with it until you get the look you want. The thicker your hair is the easier it is. Good luck! Annei

Thanks for the advice. Now that you mention it, I do remember my mother doing similar styles. She had long hair and always twisted it up or put it in a glamourous style. I thought she was beautiful then.

funny, i agree with you ! i would think now would be the perfect time to be able to find the answers to it. i did see the back and it is turned under rolls on the left and right with a long pony tail coming out of the top and covering the "rolls". i happened to watch a program over the weekend which went on and on about her glasses. titanium $375. i think she's classy. she pleases herself, rather than the cameras.

She is very attractive. I do like her glasses. Fortunately, I have good insurance so I won't have to pay $375. LOL! I wonder if she does her own hair. Thanks for your response!
