nothing is wrong with you. i think most of us have such an increased stress level that it's impossible to stop your mind to go to sleep. i use melatonin. you can find it in any healthfood store and most grocery stores. it's non-addictive, no hangover in the morning, works very quickly. it was found that airline pilots had such a terrible time with jet lag that this was used.

It's not wrong of you but I don't think it is the answer. I would recommend looking into meditation. Thru it you learn how to quiet the mind. I used to have the same problem you do and sometimes I still do. I have found that meditating works wonders for quieting my mind and allowing me to relax enough to fall asleep. Another suggestion is to read before bed. This is also relaxing. I think it also quiets the mind. It distracts you from all the random thoughts going on in your head and allows you to relax enough to fall asleep. Good luck.

I do the same thing. I don't think there is anything wrong with either of us..we just have a lot of stress in our lives. Or I do anyway. I have resorted to taking Advil pm's every night because they help me to get to sleep. I've taken prescription sleeping pills before but they get to be more expensive than over the counter. I will take two advil's then read for about an hour or whatever it takes to get me sleepy and I usually sleep pretty good. I still get up and down a few times during the night but I guess that's par for the course.

well i think you are stressing too much on some topic. its a normal human tendency to think about a particular topic at night when he goes to bed. it can be out of curiosity, tension, or just excitment. well in my case it happens due to excitement, like if iam goin to get some present or anything. i think yout think about a particular topic or any topic too much, which diverts your mind out of sleep and puts in a wide awake mode. i think you should try doing some yoga, and meditation. thats just gotta help you. and yea, in any case do not " DO NOT" resort to sleeping tablets, they can spoil your sleeping habits.
