i just saw an ad online for a 4GB Ram and 500GB Harddrive for $379.00 Sounds like a good deal. But it says refurbished. Would you buy a computer that is refurbished? Will there be a difference in performance?

My previous laptop was refurbished, and it worked great for a couple of years, and then something went on the mother-board. I got a new machine with newer software, and I love it, but then I've only had it for a month or so. LOL I guess it all depends on what you are getting, and where you get it from. My old laptop did what I needed it to, until it crapped out in August.

yes I refurb computer can be a good deal. would I personally get one NO I would not get one. to refurb a computer to the latest technology you would have to upgrade everything from the motherboard to the hard drive and sound card. The only thing that is old in it should be the case and power supply. So what is all new / refurbished in the system

I tend to prefer a new one verses a refirbed one. It just seems to me that the new one would be the safer bet, I have had two different laptops refirbed and had a definite loss of performance and speed when I got them back. So I would definitely not buy the refirbished one if it were me.

Thank you for sharing this valuable information with me. I see your point. You get what you paid for. Since I am paying over 400 after tax, I wanto make sure it will last a long long time.

Hi Christie, Thanks for sharing your experience. I think I heard pretty good reviews about refurbished ones that I might consider that. I hope if anything goes wrong, it will be before the 90 days. Thanks

Hey thanks for the feedback. I don’t know much about computer , sure glad you can tell me it is food. Except for it does not come with any software such as words. So does that make a good price still?
