Sleeping Pills and a Sleep Mask? A Desperate Shut-Eye Combo!

There are some times that, when I can't sleep at all, I become desperate to get some shut-eye.
I sleep with two fans and an air conditioner so that the cold air can get me to sleep faster, but even this isn't enough.
Now I got a messed-up circadian rhythm or whatever it's called, and when I do get some sleep, I get tired and sleepy just when the sun comes up, and I fall asleep until I wake up sometime between 12PM and 3PM. I couldn't get any decent sleep because of those roaches and cockroaches on my bed, and I just don't feel sleepy at midnight, and even beyond, although my show, "Attack of the Show", is moved to a new time of 1AM.
But when I become so desperate to get some zzz's, I turned to my trusty combo: sleeping pills and sleep masks (eye pads) that I bought from Wal-Mart. If taken at the right time before I get to bed, hopefully at least i'll fall asleep faster. With my sleep mask on me, a little to no light will be on my eyes, and I might have a chance to get some sleep.
Is anyone here as desperate for sleep as I was? Have you taken sleeping pills and a sleep mask together just in case?

Hello DMwell. I am so sorry that you did not have a quality sleep at night. A good sleep is of great importance for us to be more energetic in our work and study during the daytime. Well, I am happy that I can usually sleep well at night if I don't take a long nap after lunch. I have never taken any sleeping pills even if sometimes I find it hard for me to fall asleep, as I have been told that I will be dependent on those sleeping pills once I develop the habit of taking them. But I think that a sleep mask is a very good stuff during the day though I don't have one and want to have one. Anyway, I wish you to have a good and quality sleep during the nights. Good luck to you and take care, friend.
