Have you heard of the news that AIG company the mother company of Philam is having troubles on their financials in the US. I'm worried because I have a pension plan in Philam and if AIG filed for bankruptcy I do not know what will happen to my pension plan there. Do you think AIG will also file bankruptcy like the other 2 financial giants in the US?

I really have not yet heard this from the news but my officemate told me about this. This is totally nerve breaking since AIG is a very big company and many countries will be affected. Philam is an institution here in the Philippines and have been here for so many years. Whenever we talked about insurance and educational plans, the name Philam will always come up. Many Filipinos ,just like you, are insured or have insurance policy with Philam. I think the US government had already released fund to bailout AIG and I hope that this will be enough to make them recover.

I saw this in the news last night... and that is really something to worry about... but just this morning i read in yahoo news that the US government announced an $85 million bailout for AIG... that is a good move since a lot of people from all over the world will surely be affected when AIG goes down the ground...
