I know this election is a very serious and important one and I am not making light of it. However, there is a really good quiz online that you can take and, after you choose the answers you agree with, will tell you which candidate your views line up most with. I took the quiz and came up with McCain by a small margin. I am still undecided and I certainly didn't use this quiz to help me decide but it was interesting. I even learned a few things about both candidates. Take the quiz and then let us know whether your answers were more in line with McCain's thinking or Obama's. And whether you think the quiz is right or dead wrong. I doubt I can post live links here so here is the link to copy and paste: http://abcnews.go.com/politics/MatchoMatic/fullpage?id=5542139 Looking forward to seeing how accurate the quiz is for you who absolutely know whom you are voting for!

I'd say it's pretty darn accurate, at least it was for me. My answers were almost unanimously in line with Obama's, which was no surprise. Annie

I could almost tell who said what on some of the questions because I have followed the two as they spoke but I was a little surprised about a couple of the answers. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I ended up selecting McCain wholeheartedly on the economy & Iraq. On health & immigration, I ended up selecting one for McCain, & another for Obama. On all 5 of the "hot topics" it was also all McCain. Out of the 13 questions, 11 for McCain, & only two for Obama.

Interesting. I got more McCain answers as well. I also learned a few things I didn't know about the stances of the two. Did your results surprise you?

It's tough to say whether it was surprising or not. The weird thing is that when someone posts something bad about Obama here on MyLot, they, & prople who agree with them, practially get attacked. One of the responders below me is a big Obama supporter, & she's always polite & diplomatic. If only they could be more like her, but I still need to see what happens between now & November.I'm sure if undecided voters come here & see some of the postings, that would sway them towards McCain. One person posted three discussions pertaining to 9/11, & then a fourth one about Michelle Obama's absense. They all seemed to have flocked over there in her defense, & did not go near any of her 9/11 discussions.

Well, politics has a way of making people really riled up. I don't like to get involved in all that because I simply don't feel it is my place to tell anyone who they should or should not agree with or back. Plus, I am one of the undecideds although I am leaning a certain way at the moment. There is much to be learned about both men and their VP picks before I feel really comfortable backing either side. I don't like being attacked for my beliefs and would never attack someone else for theirs. I generally stay away from politics and even religious posts but this posting seems non controversial to me. I sure hope it doesn't turn into a flame war thread. I'm not at all into that stuff. I admire people who can disagree politely and with respect. That is much harder to do than to rant and name call!

Thank you for that very interesting link. I was really very pleasantly surprise that I was making the correct choice in issues. Actually I thought that 2 choices would be pretty equal but they test showed that there were only 2 issues where I agreed with the the person I was not voting for.

I found the quiz interesting because I did learn a little about the candidates when taking it. Naturally, because I am undecided (but leaning one way strongly), my results also seemed undecided. I did get McCain but by just a couple of answers. Even the quiz couldn't really help me to decide. lol.

My choices were almost all Obama. I had 3 that were McCain. Hillary was my first choice. I've been supporting Obama since he won the nomination.

Hillary was also my choice. I was hoping she would go on the Independent ticket and make it a three way race. That would have been very interesting. Thanks for the reply.

Pretty interesting. My selection was almost totally in line with Obama and he is the candidate that I have been supporting since Hillary dropped out.

I really wanted Hillary to win and then go on to be prez. I'm still bummed about that. Thanks for the reply.

Almost solidly Obama - the three questions where I chose the McCain answer the two quotes were pretty close to identical. Not surprising here, either. Obama's not my first choice, but he's certainly the better choice.

This election has me really divided. I agree with a lot of things on one side but disagree with some major things. I guess you're right. It's isn't who the first choice is, it's who the best of the two choices is.
