Windows vista OS is failure one

I am using both Windows XP and Windows Vista OS. Vista is not supporting many S/w. friends Kindly give ur suggestions

altough the software providers have now started designing their S/w's for vista though i still certainly think it is a lil on the failure side. it needs a lil too much resources, and people dont prefer spending on the pcs that much. it uses your ram, graphical memory, and uses processor to a high level on any processes. it has many background processes, which do consume a lil more amount of your memory and some extra security features present in it can be obtained on xp even by a their party software. my point is, windows vista with stuffed with some unnecessary features.
where windows xp uses around 150mb of your pagefile when system is stable, vista uses around 450mb. i had vista in my laptop which gave me lil problems like extra processor usage etc., i removed it and installed xp and now my system has been runnin on it since more than a year without any problems.
