How often you change a job?

If you find your job is not challenging, what would you do? Do you change your job immediately? Or do you stay at the same job until you get a new one? For me,I don't like to change job too often actually. Of course I cannot deny that we can get bored with our job easily but I think it would be the same with other jobs too. At first,we find the job to be challenging and has lots of things to learn but after sometimes,we will lose interest towards the job. What do you think? How long can you stay in a job before you jump into a new one? Please share here, thanks.

Sounds like you hold in there and stay at a job. Good luck.

Hi there yenwie84! I have been with the company I work for since I graduated from college. I teach in a university here in my city. In fact, this is the same university where I earned my bachelor's degree as well as my MBA. I love my job and so even if teaching is not really a high paying job, I have been here for eight years. I think that the satisfaction comes from the fact that I impart knowledge and that I become a catalyst in the lives of hundreds of students every semester. I do not have intentions (yet) of changing my career.

I worked at the same job for 6 years and got married then quit my job. Mistake. Then I had another job for 4 years then they closed the doors and went out of business. My daddy worked at the same job for about 40 years before he retired. Job hopping from job to job looks bad on resume. That is what holds my brother back from getting a better job.
