Do you get "made up" to exercise?

If you go to the gym to exercise or just run/walk around the neighborhood, do you wear makeup or perfume/calogne? I don't. When I'm walking I just get dressed, put my hair in a ponytail and go. Last weekend when I was at the park walking my 5+ miles a lady passed me that had on perfume. And I mean a LOT of perfume. I smelled it for a few minutes after she walked by. It was very strong, I almost felt like I just walked through the make-up department at Macy's.

Well, I don't really go to the point of overdoing what is natural. I merely tie my hair and put a little cologne (well, I actually take a shower before going to the gym). It's because it's one of the guidelines in our gym, that we should respect the rights of others (to breathe fresh air) hahaha. Funny but true. I've come to be accustomed to doing that for myself before going to the gym because I have noticed that some people who don't really mind their hygiene, end up smelling worst when sweating. Yes, it's good to sweat, but we can't really detect if we smell bad (the explanation is because we tend to be immune on our odor), so to be safe, I take a shower before exercising.

That's pretty wild that your gym is like that. I know that after I walk 5 miles I'm pretty sweaty and I stink - 11 is a bit worse and I'm not looking forward to what I'll be like after 20+ miles in 2 weeks. I don't go to the gym though, I'm outside at a park. A lot of the people there are doing the same as me so they stink too, but we don't notice as much because we're outside I guess...

I guess that's it, indoors sweats would really spread faster than outdoors.

I find it comical when I see women done up to the nines just to go to the gym, you see them on the machines with full make up on... only for it to drip off their face as they sweat! Or those who have been on the same machine for ages and their make up is still PERFECT...clearly they are just there for show.

Exactly! If I'm working out, I'm working up a sweat. I don't wear much makeup normally, but I'm not getting all done up to sweat :)
