As many of you know I have an 8 month old (gigantic) Akita pup named Shilo. She has a lot of wierd quirks but we love her anyway. Her latest thing is an addiction to lifesavers wint o green mints (honestly she does take after me lol). She will sit and drool and beg for them. If they are sitting on the tv dinner tray she will try to drag the tray closer to her to steal some. She loves them so much it drives her crazy when I have them out. I try to limit her to two a day when we have them (I only buy a bag very other week or so). The other thing she loves is kettle corn popcorn. She loves that stuff but not as much as the mints she is crazy about. Does your dog have crazy things they love?

I would be very careful with those. Artificial sweeteners cause hypoglycemic-like reactions in dogs. It throws off their glucose absorption and can lead to seizures very quickly.

I don't get the sugar free kind. the kind I get has sugar in it. She really only gets maybe 4 a month cause I don't like to share. Today she has driving me crazy about them though and I have told her no over and over. Crazy pup.

I don't have a dog, I have a cat, and my crazy cat loves jalepino cheddar dip from the local pizza place. He als ogot into a bup of really spicy creamy chipotle sauce once. I think he likes the texture of the stuff, and doesn't really care about the taste. it's pretty funny watching Shakti eat hot sauce.

I used to have a Lab named Shady who I had to put down over a year ago. He was also hopelessly hooked on those Wint-o-Green Lifesaver mints. He also adored the cherry Halls cough drops. He knew when you were opening either one and would be right there in an instant for his. lol He would gently take it from your hand and then lay down to thoroughly enjoy his treat. He would roll it around in his mouth like we would with hard candy then, after awhile, he would chomp it down. Sure miss my ole bud. One of these days, I gotta get another Lab. Will be a rescue this time thou.

Oh shilo is ever so gentle when taking hers too. She never grabs she is a lady and takes it gently lol. She also knows the sound of the drawer where I keep them, and knows what that bag sounds like. She will be there in an istant to get her share.

Hey sweet, I don't have a dog, but I do have a somewhat crazy cat name Luna who has some weird taste for things. But first, at least Shilo will have some minty sweet breath! You should be happy that she loves those mints! Doggy breath can be a killer sometimes! Maybe you should check out some doggy breath mints instead and maybe try to get her hooked on those so she doesn't have as much sugar, unless these are sugar-free mints. As for the popcorn, I would be afraid that she might get them stuck in her throat, I know I do! Back to Luna, he loves ice-cream! He can be hiding somewhere in the apartment for hours and I could have called him over and over and he wouldn't come out. But, all I have to do is go in the freezer and get out the ice-cream and that cat comes running and screaming! He just loves ice-cream and will scream until he gets some. So before I dare take my first spoonful, Luna has to get his! That's my ice-cream cat!
