Fergus Shanahan, writing for the Chicago Sun Times about Sarah Palin, laments that Britian doesn't have such a vibrant reformer as she to shake up the political scene in Great Britian. He has nothing but praise for Palin and her realness. Take a look:

At one time Great Britain had someone like Sarah Palin. This person was Margaret Thatcher, the Iron Lady. Let us remember that the Lady Thatcher became Prime Minister with a mandate to reverse the UK's economic decline. Thatcher took over three years after the James Callaghan Government had concluded that the Keynesian approach to demand-side management failed to do everything, sound familiarly to any other country we know today. Lady Thatcher also had quick wit like Sarah Palin does, by saying "To those waiting with bated breath for that favourite media catch-phrase the U-turn I have only one thing to say, you turn if you want to, the Lady's not for turning."

I am ever an admirer of Margaret Thatcher. Her brawny brand of leadership served Great Britian well. Leaders like her are hard to come by.

They need someone like her over there. I heard that the anti life, the anti Christian, the anti traditional marriages and families and the radical Muslims are in power over there. They have caused the Christian agencies to shut down. I mean it is worse then here in Canada. Fear has taken over Great Britain, I guess there will be lots of people emigrating over here to Canada and the States, unless something is done.

I think governments need a shake up when the officials just roll over in their complacency and let the bad guys take over. I hope someone with the gumption to go against the flow will step up to the plate in England and help the people gain some of their rights back before democracy is trampled to the point of no return.

If the sun is liking her it says something. But I have been wondering what the rest of the world thinks about her myself. BESIDES the few in here from abroad I see commenting on her. I would be very interested in finding out what other world leaders are saying about her, etc, could she potentialy as well gain the kind of popularity abroad with the average joe/jane as Obama has?

I think the rest of the world will respect her because she is a strong leader. I doubt many Muslim nations will like because women are second class citizens to them and I don't think they'd ever want a woman in government.

It's nice to know what someone outside the US thinks of Governor Palin. I'm glad she's making a good impression.

She is making a good impresson on other nations of the world. The MSM has made a big deal that she hasn't traveled widely or had much foreign relations experience, but the nations are already impressed with her just by seeing her on the news. I don't think she will have any trouble when it comes to foreign relations. BTW, Obama has had zilch foreign relations experience and wonder why no one is bringing that up?
