Are We Headed for a Depression like that of 1935?

As some of you know I was adopted by a very old couple...In our dining room there was a closet that had a padlock on it...in there were canned goods and all sorts of non-perishables. We were never allowed to touch it. I noticed that every so often my Mom would take out what was there and replenish our regular cabinets in the kitchen and she would restock it...I once asked why that was so and she said, "I lived through New York City's Depression where I had to stand in line to get a handful of rice, some bread and whatever else they handed out...although I don't wish this event on anyone, you too will have to see this"...Oh my God myLotters, I never took this seriously until now...is this where we are headed? this is causing me so much stress!! What do myLotters think? ~G~

Hi gwoman, how are you my friend? Yes I herd about this from my mother and I sure hope this does not happen but I guess it is possible. I hope things change and pick up for us all because this looks like the road we are headed down. It is scary, I see a lot of people suffering right now, not being able to make ends meet and doing without a lot of necessities.
