What's with the Conservatives?

The Canadian election seems to be heating up with the usual charges and counter charges that we have come to expect from our politicians during an election. This time however, there is something different happening. The Premier of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, himself a Conservative, is campaigning against the federal Conservatives! He claims that Prime Minister Stephen Harper did not keep a promise given in writing to his province regarding offshore oil resources. Premier Danny Williams has even set up a website urging Canadians to vote ABC (Anything But Conservative). Whether or not this will have an impact on the results of the election remains to be seen, but the Premier is adamant that Prime Minister Stephen Harper cannot be trusted, and his promises are meaningless.
