Talked to the doc about the hives (or whatever they are) and he agrees that it's probably a food allergy, possibly wheat products. So my very first meal I go to Fresh Choice to have a salad and soup, avoiding the baked goods that they have there. I had a vinaigrette dressing, just avoiding any creamy dressings on the off chance that there's flour in them. I also avoided the cream soups. So I'm about 2/3 of the way done with my chicken soup when I realize, darn it, those were noodles. Flour. Aargh.... Sabotaged it on the very first meal. Guess I'm going to have to be really, really careful.

That would be really hard for me to do too. My aunt just found out she's allergic to gluten and is trying to stay off foods with gluten in them. I've been helping her look up foods and it's hard to find a whole lot that she likes that doesn't have gluten in it. Good luck with yours...

I had to do this with milk products for a while, imagine being a lover of Mexican food and not being able to have cheese. Oh the torture. Yep it will be hard for a while but if I get my brain into gear, I'm sure I can manage it.

It's really hard to have a meal when you have a wheat allergy. Seems wheat is everywhere. My daughter was complaining that she couldn't cook something, I don't remember what, because their room mate was allergic to wheat. Whatever it was was something I wouldn't have given a thought to.
