Would you go on a "Baby's Daddy show" like MAury Povich

Every once and awhile I just have top put good ole Maury on. I really miss when he use to do real talk shows, but I get a kick out of the baby's daddy shows. What would do you do if - or your significant other - was called to be on the show? Would your reaction change based on if you knew about the child, the age of the child, etc? If my husband got a call to be on that show and the baby was older (at least 6 years old), I would laugh so hard. I wouldn't go on there with him though. I do need to have some pride. If the baby was younger, I would divorce him anyways since if the baby was younger than 6, we have been together for 6 years, so that means he cheated on me at some point and couldn't be trusted.

my husbands pretty sure no children happened from any of his relationships. he never slept around and new all of his partners. he's never even had a one night stand. i know he's never cheated on me, but i'd probably let him go on the show depending on who the woman is. because if he's going on, she's saying she slept with him at one point. if the kid is older then my kids then i know it was from before we met. i used to joke with him that i'll get a knock on the door with a teen saying he's the father. there's only been one person he's known of that he got pregnant and she went and aborted the baby with telling him (he wanted to keep it) because she said she knew the relationship wasn't going to last and she didn't want a constant reminder of him.

Too bad the good ole shows aren't around anymore. I tend to go to the gym in the afternoons when I am not work. I am always looking for something different to watch while on the treadmill.

I would never do that, it is so embarrassing. How can you not know who the father of your child is? People think badly of women if they sleep around with every man that they can, and then they have no idea who the father of their child is. It speaks badly of men too to not know that they got a woman pregnant.

Ha,ha I miss when he did real shows too and also get a kick out of the "baby's Daddy" shows. I can't watch them every day and can't take all that yelling for very long. I could never ever go on any of those shock talk shows, I don't like drama and attention.

As for you hypothetical situation with your husband, I say: A child who does not know who his father is and a woman who slept with so many men she doesn't know who the "daddy" is , is just very, very, sad. Not Funny.Period.

Like everyone else has said, I wouldn't go on that show and let the world know I was sleeping with multiple men in the week of my child's conception. It would shame me, the men I was sleeping with, my baby, and my family. I'm sure there are non-profit agencies (or child support collection agencies) that would be willing to help pay for a paternity test given DISCREETLY at a doctors office. However, to the girl poster who said she HAD gone on that show, YOU FU@%^# ROCK, MAMA! How did it feel to show up your man on NATIONAL television? I bet it felt amazing to prove him wrong.

It was great!!! And like so many people have said, it has to be embarrassing to go on there not knowing who your baby's daddy is. The only reason I went was because I knew. Had I been like all the others that end up being on there with 5,6,7, men, I wouldn't have gone. I do have respect for one girl that was on the show with me. She had two guys on there, and didn't know which one was the father of her child. I mean, she did wrong by sleeping with two men so close together, but I respect her because she didn't go on there with just one, saying that he was the father and no one else, saying she didn't sleep with anyone else like a lot of the girls do. She just came clean and said this is what I did, and I need to know. It took a lot of guts to do that.

Although I've never had children I was never really a "bed-hopper" either. I'm the type that tends to stay in long relationships...even when I know it's not going to last...call it stubborness. If I was positive who the father was then yes I'd go on so there would be no doubt in his mind. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Well, I actually was on the show back in 2001. I took my "baby's daddy" on there because he was listening to the neighborhood talking, saying that my son was not his. I knew for a fact that he was, because I knew that I hadn't been with anyone else. But he wanted to keep denying it, so I called. I wasn't embarrassed one bit, because I didn't have a doubt in my mind who the father was. It was to prove a point. I had fun while I was up in New York, and guess what the verdict was! You ARE the father!!!

I would never go on a show like that and if any of my relatives did I would disown them, that is ridiculous, airing their dirty laundry, it is embarrassing not knowing who your baby father is. What is that saying about you as a person? And then coming back more than once, makes you wonder if that is for real. It is funny when it is someone you don't know. I used to love to watch the Maury Show
