Lee Anne Rimes song entitled "LIFE GOES ON". The song has this very catchy lines, it goes like this: "SHAME ON YOU IF YOU FOOL ME ONCE, SHAME ON ME IF YOU FOOL ME TWICE!" How you would take that lines?

That is a very common saying prior to being in her song. I haven't heard the song you speak of, but I know the saying. It is a true saying and basically means that any of us can be tricked or conned once, but if we allow it to happen the second time by the same method and same person, we are just as guilty as the one who did it to us. I think I have always heard the line "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." Many of us let it happen to us over and over and over again before we learn how to break the cycle.
