In a shocking turn of events today, a staunch Clinton backer and fundraiser and member of the DNC platform commitee threw her support squarely behind John McCain! In my humble opinion this is just the beginning of a mass exodous from the democratic party who don't support the extreme leftist policies now being touted by the democratic party! Here is the news article: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080917/ap_on_el_pr/mccain_clinton_backer

Well after Biden's interview the other day were he said he and Obama had a "re-alacation of weath" plan it does not surprise me. Who really wants that? How about we all pay our own way and leave each other alone. Who is the federal government to say how much money anyone can have, or to do forced charity. It goes against everything this country was founded on.

This may be Clinton's plan- make sure obama loses and then she is poised to be the candidate in 2012 She can oppose Obama directly, but supporters are bound by any political constraints. She can then say both bill and her tried to get Obama elected by Obama was not ready. The important think we all need to vote. I picked upan absentee ballot today

Good for you! Every vote counts regardless of who you are voting for.

shoffman, I am certain that you are right, that is exactly what the Clintons had in mind, losing the election so that America can go further down the toilet for possibly eight more years. And maybe then the country will be so desparate that Hillary, who might be elected anyway will be a shoe in in 2012. YEP, I never thought of that, my brain just does not think along the lines of someone in A MENTAL INSTITUION. Good grief where do you people get these ideas????? You must lay awake all night watching horror movies to come up with this cr@p.

This is very good news. I hope others do follow. I am of the same opinion regarding the current Democratic leadership. Lynn Forester de Rothschild said it is too far to the left I agree and I am also not comfortable there. I too will support McCain but I will not change parties. I hope that future elections will not have such a dangerous Democratic nominee.

MSV1313 Thank you. I honestly think sometimes think I am living in a nightmare. I cannot believe that Democrats would trust a man who has such a shady past. McCain may not be a perfect choice but at least he is an open book. No skeletons in his closet otherwise Ombamarobots and the media would have plastered them across the country.

DUH! McCain has a past that every Vietnam Veteran would love to throw in his face. After his track record in DC already why would anyone vote for him. I'm sorry Hilliary didn't make it! Right now, this election is becoming nothing but a childish game of throwing trash into the other parties character. Both sides should grow up and quit this silly crap. Years ago we had candidates that didn't go on a campaign trail for themself. They were humble, well meaning and honest men who had nothing to hide and left the decision up to the people.

Oh you mean somebody came to their senses? Ha ha It is about time. I would love to see a mass exodous from the Democratic party but only if they are not intent on bringing their garbage with them. I am a bit surprised to see this in the news. Usually the media would be working hard to hide anything that made the DNC look bad.

When a baroness calls you an elitist that is not a good thing. One of the reasons the Lady de Rothschild is voting for McCain over Obama is not only is Barack to leftest for her taste but also he is too out of touch with America. For the Lady to say that Barack is out of touch would be like Pol Pot calling Joseph Stalin a mass murderer. Let us remember that the Lady meet her husband at a Bilderberg conference. Now I am not a conspiracy loon but I can spot a bunch of elitist and that group is full of them.

This is good news, along with the news I heard today that Donald Trump endorsed McCain, I think on the Larry King show. I'm not a big fan of his but I have a feeling there are a lot of Democrats that value his opinion.

She makes good points, and I really can't blame her. I also wonder if the articles about Obama trying to influence the Iraqi government about troop withdrawls might have something to do with it, as well? It makes me wonder....

This one is certainly a good news for McCain camp , because she is a top fundraiser and no doubt she can help McCain raise much needed fun. You can argue Obama still the election. I am not talking about winning or loosing I just to point out the important point of this news is.

I respect Lady Rothschild for acting on her principles and not letting her friendship with Hillary deter her from what she believes is the right decision. There were numerous high profile Clinton supporters and friends who surprised the nation when they announced their support for Obama. I do however find it humorous that she would call Obama an elitist. That was down right funny coming from her. I can accept her feeling that he and the DNC have moved too far left. I can also accept him being viewed as an elitist from someone who lives the average middle class life. But it just loses credibility coming from her. No offense.
