I find in most religions the prayers are in song form. They are not like what we speak but like songs. There is something musical attached to it. Even in churches they have songs being played similarly i have found in temples as well. I don't know about the other religions. But i find religious songs in other religions. Do we need to have a certain form for prayers? Does God require it to be like that?

in my oppinion they sang it so that they it would be lively and the people praying it would not fall asleep. or wouldn't it be nice if we sing while we pray? you'll feel that the prayer will be coming from the heart.(not due to your heart beating fast because of high notes...LOL)

Some of the religions we have here not praise thru singing! They make it as a rap version of praising! hehe..That would be more lively and it is an assurance that no one can fall asleep.

I remember my religion teacher would always tell us that singing a prayer is like praying twice... i think that is the reason why most prayers are in song form... aside for that... they sound a lot better... and gives great homage that just reciting the prayer..

It is very awkward to make a praising song a poem or a speech. It is nice to have it as a song because in singing you can made it more interesting and and you can praise with full concentration.
