I do. I always have my cellphone beside me at night and it's strange cause I can always hear my cellphone beeping whenever there is a text message even if I'm sleeping. I always see who could that be even if I'm so sleepy. It might be an emergency from my family or a friend. It surely is important if they would contact me late at night, right? Just like the other night. My mom texted me and told me that if I could try and contact my youngest brother. He hasn't arrived home yet and my mom is worried cause its already 1:00am. They can't reach his cellphone and so I tried calling him. I tried 3x and then the 4th time his cellphone rang and we talked and so everything is ok and his on his way home. So what about you? Do you still care to see who could that be if your cellphone rings or beeps at night if you're sleeping and you heard it? Or you just turn it off and go back to sleep?

Well I don't usually expect any important message during night time. I'm just alert enough for emergency calls. Ciao!

I live beside a main street. But its usually quiet at night. Unless no motorcycles will pass by. It's usually those motorcyclist speeding that awakens the neighborhood. Goodnight and sweet dreams too!

I have two cellphones and one of them I use for my family and relatives which is also intended for emergency calls and text messages. Like you, I always have this cellphone beside me at night, so that if ever emergency calls come in, specially from my mother who's away from me, I could easily grasp it and answer the call or text. And I set it to loud sound so that I'll be awaken.

I normally turn my cell phone down and leave it downstairs at night. If a family emergency were to occur they would call our home phone anyway. The only time either one of our cell phones get taken to bed is when my s/o is on call, which is only about once a month. I've had enough late night calls that were just friends our drinking or whatever, and my family all know to call our home phone first if it is some kind of emergency.

Well its good if you have a landline in your home. At least cellphones is not that important at night. Me, I don't have any landline so my cellphone is always at my side whenever I'm sleeping. Thanks for responding!

Yeah. Answering or attending to calls or text while sleeping can distract our rest at night. It would really be nice if one could sleep soundly and without any distraciton Ciao!

I used to, but not anymore since my volume is a bit below half and I don't really sleep next to my phone like I used to back when I used to live in the place where I sleep on the floor. But when my phone alarm rings, that's a different story. I wake up in an instant due to the annoying ascending volume as it continues to ring. In the rare occasion when I do hear it ring, I usually just answer the phone in with my sleepy voice hehe.

Hi! Oh I always try to check first who is calling. And if I don't know the number then I just turn it off. I have experienced prank calls and textes and so I have learnt not to entertain unknown numbers. Keep posting!

i'm a light sleep girl, i'm easy to be woken up. a little noise can make ma wake.usually i will wake up twice at least. if something happened that made me unhappy,i can't fall asleep the whole night. bad sleep is bad for health and skin. how about others?

I'm a heavy sleeper and a little beep is not going to wake me up. My alarm clock barley wakes me up and it set to full sound and a rock station.
