this morning I was trying to think of a quick desert to make tonight that I haven't yet tried to make so with a quick look through all my cook books one caught my eye. It was my "Best Of The Pilsbury Bake Off Cookies and Bars" ... Yep I'm gong to say it right now I'm a chef at heart and I probably should have continued my carrer path down that way but unfortunately I haven't .. (Note to Self: Win Lotto and Build Restraunt.) Ok so onward with the discussion. So I sat here and looked through the book trying to find something simple and uncomplicated to go for desert with yesterdays left over BBQ. So I came across the Coconut-Lemon-Crescent Bars. My question to you is have you ever made them? If you have what variations have you used? Here is the recipe that I got from the Cook Book! Crust 1 can (8oz) of Pilsbury refirgerated cresent dinner rolls Filling 2 Egss slighlty beaten 1c. sugar 1c. flaked coconut 2Tbsp. all purpose flour 1/2tsp. baking powder 1/2tsp.grated Lemon 1/4tsp salt 2Tbsp. Lemon Juice 2Tbsp Butter or margarine, melted. Directions 1.) Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Unroll dough into 2 long rectangles. Place in ungreased 13x9 Inch pan; press in bottom and 1/2 inch up the sides to form crust, firmly pressing preforations to seal. 2.) Bake 5 minutes. Meanwhile, in medium bowl, mix all fukking ingrediant untilwell belnded. 3.) Pour fillingover partially baked crust;bake 12-17minutes longer or until loght golden brown. Cool completely in pan on cooling rack, about 30 minutes. For bars, cut into 6 rows by 6 rows. Yeild:36 prep time:15 min. Start to finish:1 hour and 5 min. Also if someone has any idea on how to spruce this up, maybe a bit more colorful or flavorful please include that in your answers above. I'm always looking on how to improve or change the recipe. I was thinking of adding some lemon pie filling but not sure how that would turn out. Thank you all ahead of time.

dont care much for coconut.. too much spitting of bits out of my teeth afterwards.. so i wouldnt make these or eat them. id suggest dusting them with some powdered sugar.. that stuff makes everything more yummier. come keep me company in the tavern while i multitask housewiferies??
