Most people who listen to Satellite radio in their cars really like it because then can customise all of the programs to their tastes... These folks tend to be in their cars and on the road a lot, and they don't mind paying for the subscription so much...
The fact is that a simple Ipod and Itunes can substitute very well for Sat- radio for most folks, and save them tons of money in the long run, Mommy!
There are so very many free podcast programs they can download that there will never be a shortage of variety...
Here's a sample of the stuff they have over at Podcast Bunker:

And GCAST where you can even create your own podcast show for free and the nusic is really fresh and new...

You are welcome! Me I just stick with whatever radio is in the car. Or we use one of my hubbys jumpdrives. It has whatever music we like on it. And he changes up often.

Having a satellite radio is not really an option for me. Yes, it is probably better at playing music and is clearer without the buzzing of the other types of radios but I seldom listen to a radio so it would be a wasted cost. To me in these days and times it is considered a luxury and it is to costly to have to just to listen to for a few minutes a day.

I have seriously considered it. My Parents live 400 miles away and it is a long drive through country where there is no Radio service and a friend who goes the same way has no problem with reception through the mountains and in the desert. The one of my sisters lives 400 miles north and most of the drive is through mountains where there is no radio. It can get boring listening to the same CD over and over on those trips but then the monthly cost of the satellite service seems so high for what you get.

No, not likely to sign up for that expense. I can see why some people do, however. The radio can get so dull.
