How would you feel if a friend you called brother back bites you without reason

I've know a friend "A" since birth, he's 6 years my senior, but at a young age, we treated each other very well, like brothers.
We played badminton together, swim, football, we go for holidays together....... I was always happy for him if he succeed in life.
One fine day, after 23 years of knowing him, he was arranging for his marriage when my girlfriend and i offered to help.
We were treated with cold shoulders and told we cannot be trusted for NO APPARENT REASON!
Tell me guys/ gilrs, how would you feel, the one person u treated your brother would say such hurt ful stuff?

I would not like it at all! Not one bit. But people are people, who can understand why they do what they do. Have you tried to ask him what's going on? Tell him you need an explanation. You need to know if you have offended him in some way. His behavior doesnt make any sense. Something must be going on.

I did ask him, his answer was shallow and inconclusive;
"Aih got la why i say that"
To me, we should always put things straight, 1 will always be 1 so is 2, his answer is a typical;
"I think i made a mistake but i wont admit it"
