As fall closes in on us, I'm reminded of the smells of Autumn & the upcoming holidays. I love the aroma of baking - sugar cookies, pumpkin pie, turkey. I often light candles that mimic my favorite scents - spiced apple cider, orange clove, spiced pumpkin, cinammon vanilla. The smell of lemon always brightens my day & awakens my senses. Aromatherapy is a proven method for maladies such as sleeplessnes, anxiety & mild depression. What is your favorite scent? Does a certain smell bring back fond memories?

I've never tried the reed defusers. I bet they last longer than candles. There's just something about seeing the flickering flame.

Hi collieluv. Oh yes! for me too. Some times I am walking in the street and I feel a smell that remember my childhood. It is funny isn't? but I have a good memory for smells. I like incense with roses or jasmin or apple smell. I use it often to perfume my house. I feel good when I do this.
Cheers and have a nice day.

Well, this brings a funny little fact about me. I have Anosmia, and I cannot smell! I didn't know that fall had a smell, and so this is news to me!! I knew that most of the things you mentioned though did have a scent, so that's cool. The way i "smell" is by the thickness and temperature of the air. LIke, I can smell a crispness or thickness in the air. Like humid air is much thicker than winter air.
My favorite "air" is in the fall because it's a crisp refreshing sense that I get!

Oh, man, that is terrible! How interesting that you can "smell" by the thickness in the air. Humid air is pretty heavy. I prefer the fall too. It is a crisp smell/feel that I very much enjoy.
