How do you get some free referrals?

i use mainly these 3 referrals programs :
starreferrals.com
simplerefs.com
getref.com
still now only getref.com works for me, giving some active referrals...i don't like referrals exchange because in a few you'll be full of PTC sites mostly scams...

i dont know how it works coz i have many friends who invite on mylot but it did not work or they did not recieved my invitation
