Sleeping in

Here is a question for all of you. My job requires me to be up by 5:30 a.m. at least five day a week. On days I have to work I can barely get out of bed and I don't really feel awake until 9:00. Why is it that on my days off from work I wake up no later than 6:00 a.m., wide awake and ready to go? Is there some law of the universe that prevents me from sleeping until 8:00? If there is why does this law not apply to my wife and kids?

maybe the stress is affecting you. the stress on weekdays doesnt let u get up and continue because u r sick of your current situation and job hours. while on ur days off, u feel more relaxed and dont have the need and urgency and stress to wake up early and work, so u automatically wake up because of habit and no fear or a need of avoidance for that job that u dont want to go. i think u r just not happy with your job or current career.

yeah, i think u need a change..too long in the same job that u r getting depressed. is there anything out there that you would prefer doing if u had the chance? maybe consider doing it part time until something full time comes up in ur desired field, and then switch careers.

actually, I get up about the same time every morning. I work evenings, and it is often close to 11 pm or later when I get home. I usually sit and watch tv for a little while and play with the puppy dogs to relax a little, the I usually get on the laptop and post here at mylot or something after the dogs settle down. I am usually awake until about 1-2 a.m. I usually wake up about 7 or 8 a.m. Sometimes, I sleep until about 8:30 or 9 but that is rare. About the earliest I get up is about 6:30 a.m.

Awww when you are an early riser it gets second nature,if you rise at five then your body is tuned in to the five o clock thing, and its hard to persuade it otherwise lol you may very well feel like just cosying back under the duvet and forgetting all about things, but your body clock says otherwise,it tells you that its time to get up and start the day,an inbuilt alarm clock

i have the same problem here i think anyone with kids can relate. i heard the other day on the radio that if you a bowl of oatmeal or wheat crakers you get a better nights rest so maybe you will wake up ready to go. for energy they say to take your vitiams..rest is rest no matter how ya look at it and were all deprived of it..take care sweet dreams

I think when people have children the parents should recieve gifts like star bucks coupons, and babysitting services.

Lol... that's really funny! My boyfriend is the one who sleeps in on his days off. I can't ever seem to sleep past 6.. 7 if I'm lucky! I'm not really a morning person, though, just an early riser. There is a definite difference!!!
