How do you like to end your day?

Of course, I'm talking about the things you do right before you retire to your bedroom and not the things you do once you're in your bedroom. For me, I like to watch a favorite show online just before bedtime. It's very soothing. After the show ends, I'm usually very tired and have no problem sleeping. But, if I work online or check emails before going to bed, it's hard for me to sleep. Sometimes, I like to read before falling asleep. Nothing like getting wrapped up in a good novel to ease the stresses of the day. How do you unwind at the very end of your day?

I also like to read myself. Except not online. I like to read a little bit or a couple of chapters of a book I am reading. I also pray and read a little bit of my bible every night before I go to bed.

That is true. At night for some reason before I go to bed has always been the best time of day for me to do this.

That's an excellent way to end the day. So few people remember to count their blessings or take time to thank the one who provides them!

At the end of the day, I enjoy watching a good movie or a TV show I downloaded off the net. If I don't have anything good to watch, I'd turn on my Xbox360 and play some video games or chat with some friends online while posting on myLot. If I have a good book, I'd probably read that instead of playing games.

for myself, i like to unwind by watching a movie. Maybe I should say going to sleep to a movie...LOL. That's what I like to do after i do all my online work such as checking emails or working on some web design. It helps me to unwind and to not think about work.

I love working on my websites too. I get so wrapped up in doing some design or putting up a frame. Sometimes it takes hours. And of course, that cuts into sleep time. But it's a healthy obsession.

Hi! I like watching my favorite TV shows before retiring for the day. Sometimes, I would check test papers and work on my lessons infront of the TV. Facing the computer for more than three hours wears me down these days. So, it doesn't help me getting a good night's sleep. I noticed that I wake up refreshed whenever I read a good book at night before I go to sleep. Happy myLotting!

I like to limit my computer time too, for the sake of my eyes! Gives me headaches to be on the computer too much.

Hello beauty queen. Nice to see you again at mylot with your new discussion after quite some time. Well, I usually end my day with mylotting at night, but these days, I also end my day with doing some online English exercises, including having an online dictation, online reading comprehension and cloze, online English grammar, etc. I mean, all activities concerned with English study, because I am taking another two English Level examinations to be held in December this year. I have already had two, the first of which I had was held in June and I passed, and the second of which was just held on the 13th of September. I think that I can pass this test as well though the result won't be known until the middle of November. It is not a big deal for me as I was prepared for it. So these days I end my day either doing English papers or exercises, or end my day mylotting. Thank you for your discussion and enjoy your day as always, beauty queen.

Well let me first say I like how you started the discussion, that made me laugh. I usually like to either take a bath (most of the time I take one in the morning but occasionally I like to before going to bed), or I like to talk to my mother. Some times I will get on the computer for a few minutes or I will clean a little so I don't have to do it in the morning. I barely ever watch television before I go to bed, and never leave it on while I am sleeping. I can't stand for the television or any noise and light while I am sleeping.

Yeah! I was sort of worried that someone would want to take the discussion into the "What do you do in the bedroom" direction and that wasn't my real intent. As for TV, once I left mine on while I was sleeping and woke up with really sore eyes. It was really weird. I can't sleep with lights on either.

I know it sounds weird, but I like to end my day watching Sportscenter on ESPN. You'd think I was married with a sports crazy guy, but I'm still single. I just like sports, and they are funny too, so it relaxes me. Or if I can find a Golden Girls rerun I'm happy as well.

As for me, I love to check on my daughter's things for school and have them ready. I don't consider them a chore as some parents might because it gives me such feelings of fulfillment. I make it point that I get to take care of my daughters when I get home even if there is a nanny who could look after them. Once I am home, it should be me who should attend to my daughters. Its our bonding time wherein we share what happened during the day and the things that we experienced.

I like to get online. I check all of my email addresses and delete all of my junk mail. I check mylot and sometimes do a few posts. I might go to Clixsense. I usually end up IMing with my sister in Virginia for a little while. Reading keeps me awake because I get involved in the book. If I am still pretty awake I will lay in bed with my husband and our daughter and play solitaire or bubble breaker on my cellphone. It usually tires my eyes pretty fast so I can fall asleep.

I love playing those little games with my daughter too. She has a really fun girl games blog online that I started just for her. And there's a cool game that is sort of like collapse. And when the kid fires the bubble gum cannon and hits the bubble gum pieces, it releases toys and they catch them with a fire truck. She giggles every time! It's fun to watch or play.

I am like you and I like to read before I go to sleep. I have trouble falling asleep because I can't seem to turn my brain off of all of the stresses in my life. So I read for about an hour and that helps me to shut it off and get sleepy. I also sometimes will do some word finds instead of reading but it depends if my back is sore or not. If it is sore I can't sit up for very long so then I will go back to reading a book then. I also wash my face and brush my teeth and comb my hair, before I go to bed. I like to get into my pajamas early too, if I am going to be staying home. So I usually take a shower around 7 in the evening and then I can relax the rest of the evening before I go to bed. That helps me to sleep too, relaxing for a couple hours before bed. But I usually relax by working on the computer instead of watching a movie.

I used to have really bad back pain too at the end of my day. I think it was from a slip and fall accident in the kitchen. It made sleeping or sitting difficult. Your idea of a relaxing evening sounds dreamy!

I usually come on mylot, rarely does it keep me awake, I suppose it's only those days I get addicted to mylot. I'll either do that or play a video game, sometime's read. It all depends on what my fiance wants to do. I usually play a video game if he's playing a video game so that he doesn't feel left out. Sometimes we'll read and go to bed, not intending to. Sometimes we'll watch a movie, but that's rare.

Sometimes, I like playing online games. That tires me out. Guess they're not at the same level as XBox. But they fit my Mom budget! Take care of yourself. Thanks for your comments.

Well I usually end my day by talking to my girlfriend or sometimes practicing magic. I agree there is nothing like reading before going to sleep. I read my magic books too before I sleep and it has helped me have better sleep.

Like you, I like to end the day laying in bed and watching a show that I enjoy. I try not to do anything too stressful before I go to bed, otherwise it would keep me awake all night. Sometimes I have problems sleeping anyway, but it's usually when I can't clear my thoughts about all the things I need to do the next day.

A nice hot bath does the trick for me. Then a get cozy in my favorite chair and kick back with the book I am reading at the time. I read and enjoy the silence.

Oooh! I used to love my hot baths. Then my cat pooped in my tub. And even though I've cleaned and sanitized the tub a hundred times since then, I can't work up the nerve to take a sit down bath anymore. Just showers for me, thanks!

I work on the net during night hours and when i feel that i am exhausted i simply switch on the tv to see if i can find some good songs to hear alternately i would play some on the computer itself. Finally a small prayer to the almighty to thank god before i go to sleep.

It depends on how tired I am. Some nights I just hit the pillow and I'm out cold. Other nights I will read in bed ~ it usually takes me about 15 minutes to sleep. It stinks though when it's a really good book. I fall asleep and I try my hardest to not fall asleep. When I watch TV- I usually think about whatever it was I watched. I try not to watch scary movies or mysteries before bed. I have a hard time falling asleep then. A lot of nights I will take a hot bubble bath- and that makes me sleepy too!

I go to my bedroom early in the evening because I go to my room once I put my daughter in bed. So about 8:30, I put on my comfy pj's and sit in bed usually watching tv and doing some stuff online. Around 10 I turn off the computer and watch a good show before going to sleep. I usually turn off the tv at 11 and go to sleep.

I have several rituals. At the end of a long, tiring day, I treat myself with little pleasures. I drink a warm mug of milk, shower, read a novel, give my hands and feet my own version of spa treatment, listen to a very relaxing music that puts me into the sleep mode and do facial care rituals, in no particular order. :)

I drink a nice cup of coffee and then read a good book. Other than that I'm too tired to do anything and then lie down and drift off to sleep in minutes. I like to end the day with a quiet time to myself and some reflection before curling up in bed below a blanket.

I like to soak my self in a jacuzzi while listening to a soothing music. Pampering myself after long hours of working will definitely a good end of my day.
