I buy too many movies. That is my problem with spending and I also eat out a lot, though not fast food places. I spend more than I save though I do both. Spend quite a bit at the bowling alley as well with my bowling league and then bowling with my friends.

Well, it truly is easy to spend more than you Save. Especially when you go out to Restaurants.

I know I buy too many books, but I just love them. I have a huge home library and reread some of the books many times. However, I can also say that within my biggest spending habit I am also a penny pincher. I seldom buy books new unless they are on the sale tables. I think both hardcovers and paperbacks are outlandishly priced if you pay full retail for them. When I first got married we could have bought groceries for a whole week with the $25 they want for a new hardcover today. I find great bargains on really nice hardcovers at both used book stores and on ebay. I also use bookcloseouts.com a lot.

Buying New Books at discount prices is the way to Save. I know I have done that too from time to time. We have a discount place in one of our Malls where most Hardbacks are no more than $6. I know there are some great places to get Books at a fraction of the price.

I don't think I am either but think that I handle money wisely. I use discount coupons to buy things at a reduced price, shop during sales, buy things on special, go to the local Opportunity Shop for books and other things that I might be able to get a little more cheaply.
At the same time, we always have enough food to eat and by making these savings we are able to put a little bit of money away so we can travel. When we travel, we will camp out more often than we stay in a caravan park or somewhere that we have to pay. By doing this, we can travel that little bit further or for a little bit longer.

I am very thrifty, I shop at second hand stores and slide the stuff in, I use coupons at the grocery store. I took the kids to papa murphys on halloween to get free cookie dough! But when ya don't have a lot of money, it is fun to see how much you can actually get for less. If you look around, there are lots of ways to stretch that dollar. My hubby hates it though, drives him crazy. I don't think I have a bad obsession, saving money is a good thing.
