myLot, just for promotion?

Well, I'm too tired of this!, most of the discussions here are now just for promotions.
If we can't control it, why not make a seperate interest for this purpose?
So that these "good promoters" that use referral links or "PM" me, could PM and spam themselves 
and let the other members continue there "real discussion".
I can also see some program description like "$$$" or "I found a new site that pays" without even program name, so that we will be force to "PM" them, etc.
Do you think this is fair?
Do you think myLot is only for self promotion?
What should we do to those unfair members?!

if they violate mylot tos, why mylot admin didn't delete all of the post that contain promotion, and how many posts must be deleted everyday. it's a problem too

The mylot staff are few, the violations are many. That's why mylot asks members to report violations. If we want myLot to remain a good discussion community it's up to members to keep an eye out for violations and report them. Sometimes I feel like a tattle tale, but I've had my fill of spam and I'm doing my part to eliminate it.

I know EXACTLY how you feel beaddoodler!
However it has got to the stage where, for the benefit of the MyLot community as a whole, we must ALL to as asked of us in the Guidelines!

I agree that most of the posts in this section are about self promotion. In fact I am thinking of removing this interest from my list because I am just not interested in them.
This section is about making extra money and I came to this interest because I was actually wondering if anyone really made money online with certain sites but there is almost no real discussions here at all and I joined mylot for real discussions.
There are plenty of discussions in other interests and I spend most of my time there these days.

rortiz hi I am also tiredof those discussions up to my neck, and wish mylot would keepthem separate or delete them.we should
not do anything to these members, we are not mylot police,but
we can email mylot and make our voices heard. the problem with doing things to our members is that the doers get out of hand and get a lot of innocent people hurt for no reason at all.My lot is not just for promotions but we have to let mylot know about these things.

I don't think Mylot can stop them or control their promotion posts even though Mylot's team is 24hr online controling. Mylot has deleting their promotion posts and/or warning them, but they don't care and scare. Whatta we do? We can't do anything, but reporting to Mylot anytime we see a promotion post.^_^

I am fed up with these writings. I have already raised some discussions on the topic but I think people are not interested to respond these discussions because they are more interested in the on going discussion about earning money on line.If such discussions are not discouraged or separated in some particular interest then every interest will be influenced with these writings. I am worried about please do some thing to return to the real discussions.

You have a very good idea. I have also noticed that there are a lot of discussions that are geared towards other making money sites. It just seems like that what a lot of the discussions are. Not all of them but quite a few of them. Making a separate interest specificly for this sounds like a excellent idea. That way if someone was interested in that all they would have to do is go to that interest and the rest of us wouldn't have to put up with something that is of no interest to us. Great idea, rotiz86

hhhmmmmm maybe i open a discussion about promoting some site i think when my first time here at mylot... but now i dont coz its very very hard to promote here till i read this post that it is a violation to promote some site....
