We woke up to frost this morning in Cape Breton Canada, just off the Northern Atlantic Coast. It was pretty chilly this morning and I had to scrape the frost off the car windows. My boys had fun writing stuff in the frost. What is the temperature like where you are?

Hi Vicki! Here in Missouri it is currently about 65 degrees. It was 62 degrees when I looked while my son was getting dressed for school this morning. The coldest I have seen it here recently is about 55 degrees in the morning time.

The temp here in Alabama where I am is 64 degrees it is 8:30 am. Yes those frost scraping days are near. I just don't like cold weather when it is cold I like to be in a warm cozy home. The company I work for is shutting down around the end of the year I am very seriously thinking of sitting this winter out in the house before I start looking for a job. If I can live off unemployment and severance pay.

I can understand that. It is going to be frustrating for me to get going in the morning once the really bad weather hits thanks

This story made me think back years ago to when we were first married and we lived in a little terraced house. This house was always very cold in the winter and when it was forsty the frost used to form inside of the windows,it was wonderful to see,as the frost formed patterns like fern all over the inside of the panes of glass!the house was very cold no matter what you did with it,and that was when the most popular type of heating was solid fuel. When the frost thawed we had to get a cloth and mop the window sills before the water ran down the walls!now we live very differently really, the majority of us have some form of central heating.
