How to get along with students who are older than me?

If you know the material better than they do than you need to treat them as students since they dont know whatever the subject is, if you dont than they are kind of wasting their time not learning anything. I mean you treat them with respect just as with younger students, you jiust dont baby them, wait for them to come to you for help and dont ask them if they need it, well i mean you can just not like nagging them about it and i think you will do fine, good luck

Hi there in my point of view I think you have the role and respondsility to do as a teacher so it is a great job to teach and train people for knowledge and good things ,even you younger than them but it doesn't matter so just relex take it easy and act as the normal teacher supposed to do and see what will happen .hope this will help somehow or at least you get one response from me heheh........ best of luck

At the end of the day u have to consider that you are te teacher and they are your students. Therefore you hvae to treat the same way you would treat student despite their age. They are there to learn just as everyone else is.

My advise would be try to just think of your position and try to help them by teaching them, whatever their status is. Eventually you would be able to get along with them and they would respect you as a teacher. If its hard to treat them as pupils, try to treat them as people asking for your help to teach them and in return you will earn their respect.
