I absolutely loved both and think that Anne Rice is an amazing writer, and that the cast of the movie did a wonderful job. But obviosuly I thought the book was a lot better I like to have more details, and learn more about the characters. There were also small aspects of the storyline that the movie changed around a bit, like Louie's life as a human, and the story about his brother vs his wife in the movie. I also like the fact that in the book Claudia was only 5 years old, whereas in the movie she appeared to be 10 or so. I think her young age in the books helps explain why she was the way she was. Being so young she had little memory of what it was realy like to be human. Anyway, I'm a person who in general likes to read. I majored in Endglish in college, so I'm slightly biased towards books vs. movies. But what do you think? Was the book or the movie better?

the book is way better than the movie, like I was really dissapointed with the Queen of the Damned movie, to think that its my favorite of the chronicles. I don't even watched john grisham movie just to spare me the dissapointment becuase I love the book to much.

I have to agree that the book was much better. The movie was really good, but the book is always better. I love to watch the movies, though, to see how they interpret some things in the books. Many times I'm disappointed in the movie because they change the roles of some of the key characters. The Harry Potter movies are like that. I would really love to see a movie based on Anne Rice's Mayfair trilogy, though. It would be interesting to see what was done with that one.
