Alright, I realized JUST the other day how much of a freaking geek I really am...more so than usual!
I was talking with a friend on my cell phone, but I dropped it by accident, and as I was picking it up, without thinking, I said, "Oh, I'm sorry! Are you ok??" Then I stopped and blinked and repeated what I said in my head and just burst out laughing.
My friend thought I was going crazy on the other line, and all I could say in my gasps of laughter was, "I dropped you!! I asked...you ok...ha ha ha"
As if I physically dropped her.
Please tell me someone else has done this!!

Oh dear, that's so funny! Nopes, I have never apologized to a mobile phone for dropping it. I have empathized with it though. I empathize with almost every gadget that somehow falls from my clumsy hands. :)

ha ha, yeah, I'm a clutz also. and it wasn't the mobile phone I was apologizing to, well, at it, but it was more so directed at the person on the phone, as if I was holding THEM lol

That is funny. I have done something similar, I dropped the phone and after picking it up I asked my friend if I had hurt his ear. He laughed and said no, you did not hurt my ear, did you hurt your phone?
