I've read a lot of rants about PLDT myDSL, you have one of them or are you a satisfied customer?

I've been with them for a really long time already and I've got to say, I usually have a decent connection but when a problem occurs, it takes a while to resolve. Most of the time, a problem occurs when their lines go down and the internet connection slows down. I call their service center and they redirect me to a call center agent who knows nothing about networks and network connections. Then, they say they'll dispatch their technician. This takes about a week and when they do get here, they can't do anything about it. Their customer service is bad and their technicians don't really help much. There was a time though when their lines went down for a while but when they got back up, my internet was double the original speed.

i'm yet to encounter problems in my PLDT my DSL connection. That's what i'm afraid of, the long delays in case problems arise.

I am using SMART Bro at home and I am quite satisfied with the service. I have friends who uses PLDT MYDSL and they are okay with it just that, the only complain is with the service - they can not seem to connect to an agent for help that easily. Accessibility is very essential for businesses. Good day!

Im a PLDT subscriber only for a few months and i can say they are doing well. I have a technician friend at pldt and he said that it really depends on the location wherein their cables are connected. like in some places the cable connections are not good that's why several downtimes occur. im located in cubao so if your within the area its good to have pldt dsl.

So far so good too here in our place. PLDT office is just 10 to 15 minutes away from where i stay though i'm not sure if it really matters.

Well I just had my phone and mydsl hooked up last march and so far after I had a dial tone on my landline I waited for a week to have my dsl installed bec. this st*pid rep. didn't call me on my cellphone to inform me when a field tech would come to my apartment. And I after a week of having my dsl I lost the connection for a week and I had to call them everyday for a week and would be irate(just like my american clients, who complains about their dsl connection..just imagine a tech.rep from verizon vs a tech rep from pldt.lol)And what's funny modstar.ON the last day that I lost my temper,on the 7th day I called pldt and report a complaint again..I was told that an outbound rep would call me..they've been saying that for 6 days but no outbound reps...when I got the dsl back...an outbound rep called and I quote "ma'm may wala daw po kayong internet connection?" (Ma'm there was a report that you don't have internet connection?)..WTF..an outbound rep will call when it is already fixed. But while you don't have it...no outbound reps will call you.

I believe you.I asked them some technical questions regarding dsl and they were not able to answer me well. They don't even perform troubleshootings for customers who are having problems with the connection.

Haha! Maybe they were trained that way. If they're trained at all.

I don't know if you already know this fact: PLDT's Reps are the worst!

They sux big time. I don't like the slow internet connection and their bad customer service. They should really do something about it. So far Bayantel has the best services regarding internet connection - but they only have limited slots for each community (which might be exactly why they have quality service). Thanks for responding to my other discussion!

There's no Bayantel yet in our area so i guess residents will have to wait for quality connection. My dsl after a month became sluggish. I don't even think of complaining because i'm sure i will get nothing from PLDT's customer service. They're hopeless.

As a regular PLDT DSL subscriber i still prefer its services because of its unmatch connection bandwidth compare to other that limits its Internet Connection Speed to what their paying. unlike PLDT its worth the money because its speed is always fluctuating good for those people nothing to do but just Downloading Large amount of Data in the Internet. for example of my internet speed is the average is always 800kbps and sometimes reaches 1.8mbps. a must to those user who regularly downloading files.

My friends have been using Smart Broadband. I'm using PLDT's myDSL because i just need an additional 300 more or less because we have our own landline connection. So far i see no difference between my friends' and my internet connection in terms of performance.

My connection is PLDT myDSL. So far it's ok. But as some say when the telephone lines are down, so is the internet. But last Sunday, the phone went down and so is the connection. I still didn't turned off the device and just let saw two lights. Then after a while three lights are on (meaning there's a connection) and tried opening websites. I have a connection thou very slow but I was happy than having non at all because the phone is still out. I reported our phoneline problem the next Monday and the technician went ot our house i think last Wednesday. I think problems today are less than those days when they first introduced dsl.
