What does everyone think of the new season of house? It is one of my favorite shows and i always love wathcing it and I think that the season finale last season was great! But I don't know, the season premier wasn't as good as i expected it to be, not to say it wasn't good at all, i mean i think every episode of the show is good, but it didn't keep me glued to the screen

I have not seen the new season of House. I have not even seen the last season. I am like marooned on a desert island without television. Bummer!!

I love House! I thought the second episode was better than the first this season. I was excited to watch it again regardless

I'm not sure how I feel. The season opener was depressing, but given what happened in the season finale that was kind of to be expected. I was kind of hoping for a revelation too, and there are certain things that have stuck with me. One of the biggest things that has been mentioned repeatedly throughout the show is "you can't always get what you want." House has quoted it a few times, and Amber said that to him on the "coma" bus when House said he didn't want Wilson to hate him. Every now and then we get a little peek into House's psyche, and it's always fascinating. I think deep down he really does care about Wilson but has put up such a wall around himself that he doesn't know how to express it. Case in point; this first episode. Instead of dealing with the problem head on, he's the usual House, being a total @ss to Wilson. Instead of dealing with his emotions and telling Wilson that he feels like crap about what happened, he abuses Wilson. And it isn't until the last scene where he finally has to come out with it, or Wilson's going to leave. I found what Wilson had to say to be very interesting. He said that Amber shouldn't have been on that bus, he should have. And then he corrected himself and said that no, House should have been on that bus alone. That was a HUGE moment for Wilson, because up until now he's completely enabled House. His character grew quite a bit there. And he called House an emotional siphon, I believe, and wondered if they'd ever been friends at all. I think it'll be fun to see how House internalizes that. Will that be one more thing that gets buried and one more wall that goes up? Or will we begin to see House acting more human? There's a lot of psychology that goes into this show, into trying to figure out why House is the way he is. The other characters, while they might not have the same chemistry yet as the Cameron and Chase, are trying to piece House together and figure him out. And it's fun to watch them try. They try to psychoanalyze House and each other. Probably 13 is the best at it so far, since she knows that behaving a certain way is bound to drive House crazy. I get a kick out of those moments where she lets on to the others that that's what she's doing.

I love watching House but unfortunately we are delayed 1 season here so I think I'll see the latest one when it's over and starts airing here. Arrghhh! I want to watch it now!

I agree with you. Maybe last season finale was so great that going back to the normal show was a little bit weird. I also agree that the new team is not so good. They choose to get rid of Amber that was a very strong character and the new ones are too passive... The first team was always complaining about House behavior and it was like a continuous match. Now they are simply doing what he wants and it's not addicting at all. Let's hope they will find a way to make the show as interesting as it was before.

I totally agree with you. I absolutely love House, but this one wasn't anything like I hand anticipated. Also - I don't like the new team that much. I really liked the old format better.

I didn't see any of last season so I can't comment on that. I did see the season premiere though. I have to say, I don't like this new group of people very much. Maybe they just need to grow on me, I don't know. I miss it the way it was before. All in all the show was ok. I need to catch up and watch last season before I decide I guess.

The last episode of season four, the Part 2, was kind of disappointing, in my opinion. When I first saw the preview for that episode, I thought that the part two would have some really big revelation about House and everything. I thought it was going to be a lot better. I was disappointed to find out what the revelation really was. I don't know, I expected more of that episode. However, I thought that the premiere of season 5 wasn't as bad. There have been better episodes, but the premiere of season 5 wasn't the worst, though.

I agree. I thought it was missing "something" too. I'm not too crazy about the new team either, nor the way the others have been split up onto differnt wards. The new guys just don't have that same "savvy", if you know what I mean? But, it is still early yet. cdrxo
