Would you go into space?

When we were younger, some of us might have had jobs in mind like being a policeman, or fireman, etc. Others, might've dreamed of going off into space as astronauts. If you had that chance, would you ever go into space? If not going into space, what of your childhood dreams? Have they been realised?

I was really fascinted by space when I was a kid. I really thought about being an astronaut when I was a kid too. We took a trip to Florida and went to Kennedy Space Center and I loved it. I loved all the fun stuff they had, all the live interactive things and the shuttle you could actually walk in. As I got older I abandoned that dream. I mean, I realize I'm not made for space. Sure, it would be pretty neat to try going into space but I don't think I'm the type of person that should go into space or that could handle going.

As I said, you could go for the programme where they allow ordinary people to fly in a weightless environment, inside an aeroplane flying above the Earth. So you can still realise your dream, somewhat.

I would not go into space. I hear you have to do a lot of training, and you have to go to the bathroom differently and eat differently and drink differently and I'm not really good at getting adjusted to such strange things. I would rather stay on earth. I want to be a psychologist, and I am currently working on that happening!

Ah, well - we all have different goals and dreams. I hope you succeed!

Oh no I won't even leave my own country let alone going out there, not enough luxuries for me, and there isn't even a McDonalds there so count me out, I wouldn't even go there if they paid me millions...

Haha, so interplanetary travel depends on the availability of fast food restaurants. Maybe they'll set up one on a space station next time.

Yes, I would go even though I would find a lot of the discomforts hard to bare. But it would really be worth it for that great experience. I just which the space program had not been made to stagnate for so long since it in the end is man's only hope.

I think there was a programme where they flew people in an aeroplane in a near-gravity free place, just above the Earth's atmosphere. So you can experience being weightless.

yes i do have a dream to go to space when i was a child but because of no chance to go there. the only thing i could is to dream and pretend that i am seeing the outer space. how nice to go in real for this is once in a life time. and known our name to the whole world.

Yeah, it is a once in a lifetime chance to get out into space. It looks like space travel won't be commonplace in our lifetimes, and we'll only get to hear about it on the news.
