One swedish wtudy published last year found a link between long-term use of the older analog cell phones and brain cancer ,research in rats has shown a link between cell phone radiation and potentially cancer causing DNA damage So ,whether we should use cell phones or not ????

Working in the healthcare field and seeing the alarming number of young people with brain tumors, has made me a believer of the swedish study. Cell phones are here to stay, but we could be smarter in our usage of them. Ear buds could be helpful by allowing the radiation to go to the phone itself, but averting direct brain exposure. Headsets would be another viable option. The radiation would be removed from our head to where ever the phone is located. I think the old addage, "All things in moderation", would be advice to heed as well. Since when have we become a society of communication addicts, that we can't go through a store check out or use the restroom without a phone glued to our ear? If a brain surgeon or ER doctor can walk from the hospital to the car without talking on the cell phone, so can most of us. It is ridiculous for mothers of small children to have cell phones, so they can be contacted in an emergency but the hospital is unable to contact them because of the constant gabfest that seems to be more of a rule than an exception. Sorry, I digressed. Yes, I feel less cellphone usage would cut down on the incidence of brain tumors, as well as provide us more time with our children, less motor vehicle accidents and less hand, wrist and elbow complaints.

I have seen that study and it is believable. Take a look at how many people you see on the streets and even in the car with a cell phone stuck up to their ear. That can't be a good thing to have that next to your ear for so much of the time. Cell phones are here to stay but I think there should not be as much use of them. As it is showing the cell phone is a health risk and should be used not as much as it is.
