Is Gerrard the best in the world?

I wouldn't say he is the best, but certainly he is one of the best, I'd say he'd have to be in anyone's top 5 midfielders list.

In my opinion, Steven Gerrard isn't the best player in the world. Hi is one of the best footballers and legend of Liverpool. I think, there are only few players that are better than Steven Gerard. He is still very good player.

I actually would not say he is the best in terms of talent. But, he certainly is the best in terms of loyalty, determination and drive. Time and time again he has played with his heart on the sleeve for Liverpool. Also, he is inspirational. Whenever Liverpool FC has been in the dumps, he conjures a magic goal and drives the team. The likes of Ronaldo and Deco are more talented than Stevie G. Lampard is actually quite similar to Stevie G. Arshavin and Modric are kids off the block just yet, just have had one good season really to fit in this club. Cheers! Ram

Of course he is the best. His overall ability is really strong. He can be a playmaker. He can be a defensive midfielder. He can also be a winger. C Ronaldo don't even known how to defense. Deco doesn't have a tall and strong body. Lampard's performance is not stable at all. Arshavin and Modric? Come on... Are you kidding? If Arshavin can challenge the honor, why do big clubs not want to meet Zenit's asking price? If Modric is the best, how can Tottenham rank 20th in the EPL?

Gerrard is not the best midfielder in the world. there are other better than him as on par with him like C ronaldo, kaka, lampard, fabregas, ronadinho and and many other le. Lolz. Dun see from one aspect onli. havta see many and also their form.

He is surely on the top5 Midfielders... I think all Rafa Benitez is trying to do is boost Gerrard's and L'pool's mentality and what's a better way than building up praise for your team's captain? :)

he'da best!!! LIVERPOOL ROCKS! lol. I think he's the best because he is a complete midfielder. He can shoot,defence and organise the team very well. Other midfields like ronaldo,deco,lampard,arshavin,modric are not complete midfields.
