Unfortunately whenever Mount Mayon releases it's fury, so many lives are affected. Mostly farmers who till the land just at the base of the volcano. In 1814, the worst eruption ever, a church was buried by its lava, ashes other debris, where we can only see the the bell tower. Here it is, the Cagsawa ruins. I'll post a picture in another discussion.

A very beautiful picture, indeed! I believe it's good that Mayon has some furious moments, because that way the energy doesn't accumulate and come out as a catastrophic event.

I have seen this personally when we traveled in Bicol before. We passed by in ALbay at morning and it was that time I saw the beautiful Mount Mayon. The perfect cone was really in natures best.
