That's was so long ago that i cant even remember when was the 1st time.. lol =D But i think it should be around 12yrs old or so b4 my mom allowed me to take photos using the camera, because she's scared that i will drop the camera.. lol =D
Though i always seen ple taking photographs when i was a kid, but i'm never interested nor curious about a camera.. lol =D Thus i think, even up till now, i dun take much photos for myself as well as for others and scenery.. haha

When I was around 11, I had an Olympus point-and-shoot camera. I have no idea what model it was. The first time I used an SLR was back in college and I was about 17 years old. It was my dad's old Pentax camera. He had a few lenses for it and I wanted to try it out.

I was about 3 or 4 when I took my very first photo. I asked my mom if I could take a picture with her camera (a Nikon N2020 SLR). She handed it to me, and I took a picture of my little brother. I still to this day remember exactly what the picture looked like... even if I haven't seen the actual print in decades!
I got my first camera when I was 6. When I was a kid I would take pictures of anything and everything... but mostly my toys!
In middle and high school I took a lot of snapshots of my friends. I didn't get interested in photography as art until I was a freshman in college. I got my first digital camera. It was only 1 megapixel and didn't really have any features! (And insanely expensive!) I took the camera on vacation with my family to Martha's Vineyard. My mom is a professional photographer, and she took a look at my vacation photos and was very impressed with them! I realized photography might actually be something I was good at! So I took my camera and started taking pictures around campus. And ever since then I've been absolutely hooked!

i feel shame that i don't have camera until last year(when i was 24years old) i bought a sony degital camera, i wilke it very much, and took many pictures. but last money, i brought the camera to the tradeshow, it was stoled, i feel very sad about it, i'm going to buy a new one as soon as possibe.i found it's not convenient for me to do trading if i have no camera. @Davidarich (985)

First photo: 8 years of age with a folding camera. I got my first camera when I was 9 years old, in 1954. There were no zoom lenses in those days, and I got my first SLR the year I left school (I was 17 then). That first SLR was a German Exacta Varex IIa. I still have it and it still works well, although I use it rarely.
