I made $50 from Review Stream!

I began writing reviews for Review Stream a few months back. I submitted some 23 book and website reviews, but they have all been paid at the bulk rate. So at one time, I thought that this must be a scam, paying us peanuts for our writing efforts. If all my reviews are at bulk rate, I would have to write 125 reviews to reach payout! That's not very encouraging and simply too much work. The task ahead looks impossible, so I left the site for a couple of months.
Then I read about a freelance writer here at myLot who got paid by Review Stream after completing a certain number of reviews. Some of her reviews were paid at the full rate while others were paid at the bulk rate. Once she reached the minimum payout, which took 1 month to complete, she requested for her payment. She received it within 6 hours upon request. The site is legitimate afterall!
I was truly inspired by her achievement and decided to put in a little more effort writing the reviews. Using tips from the mylotter's experience, I have written 61 reviews in total, 45 were paid at the bulk rate (40 cents) and 16 at the full rate ($2). All in all, my efforts in August and September has paid off. Upon reaching $50, I requested for payment and received it within a few hours. I'm so happy with my achievement!

That is great! I am writing for Review Stream too. And just like you, I started writing and then quit because the $50 payout seemed impossible. Not only that, I just wasn't hearing about people being paid. I think we saw the same mylotter's discussion about the site though because when I saw that I started writing again too.
I just submitted 4 new reviews yesterday. Right now I have $10 in my account not including the 4 that were just submitted. I sat down one night when I couldn't sleep and made a list of all of the things I could think of that I could easily review. I have been slowly working my way through the list. I have been paid both bulk rate and full rate for my reviews. When I very first started the full rate was only $1.50 so I was happy to see the increase when I went back!

Hi moneyandgc,
Kiran here at myLot has inspired me to continue writing reviews at Review Stream when she posted a discussion about it. A few days ago, I had about $10 more to go and last night, I really pushed myself to write a few and what do you know, I reached minimum payout! So I quickly cashed out before anything happens! How long ago did you join RS? I wonder if they would increase the full rate again? I would be so happy. RS do take a few days to a week to review sometimes, but once you reach a certain amount, you will get instant confirmation. Then that will really push you through till you reach payout. Good luck and tell me when you have reached payout!

I have heard of that site before
and even applied, but never written
a review, cause I've heard that it's
hard to make payout.
But, I suppose it's no harder than
posting 100 responses on Mylot daily for pennies.
And, I easily do that!
I'll give this site a try and see how it
works out.
Any source of income would be welcome
at this moment. And the pay, versus Mylot,
seems very generous. Even for bulk pay.

Yes, please! I want to know what are some of those resources that you have. Will PM you if you don't want to publicise them here. I'm always looking for some new websites to write which pay international members. I'm actually trying to build some income online. I started with just a dollar or two in Mar, but this month I have exceeded $100. But $50 comes from Review Stream alone though. Thank you for the offer!

Congratulations. Happy day for you ! I have been writing reviews for Review Stream for some time now. Some of my reviews get paid at full rate and some at bulk rate. I have been paid three times now, and I am quite satisfied with Review Stream. I will be continuing writing reviews !

I have been writing reviews for Review Stream regularly, except during the time I am travelling out of town. I make the minimum amount of $50 once every two months or so. I do feel comfortable with this site.

Yup! I noticed that you have been paid by Review Stream a few times and have added you as a friend from another discussion because of that. I'm glad that Review Stream is paying you well. How often you do cash out your $50? Every month? Do you accumulate to a certain amount before cashing out? Have you tried any other review sites? Thanks greenline for responding.

I'm hoping to be able to help you out here. Here's my suggestion for your next review. Try reviewing a hotel you have stayed in or a tourist attraction in your area. I have been paid full rate for these categories. Write at least 200 -250 words. Remember to tick to accept bulk rate. Do a grammar and spell check after you have completed the reviews. And remember to tell me if your review has been published! I will be waiting for your reply.

I hope I get your question right. I review anything and everything that I could see, touch, and experience. I have reviewed books, websites, shopping places, travel, hotels, restaurants and many more. Whenever I go out, I will make it a point to review some of the things that I see.
I'm not sure what you mean by unsuccessful. Was your review rejected? Did you tick to receive bulk rate? Did you write at least 200-250 words? Maybe if you were to elaborate on why you were not successful, I may be able to help you out, from what I know, of course.

I am very pleased for you. I wrote a few reviews months ago, but even with some accepted at the full rate, I'm never going to reach payout at Review Stream. I can't waste time reviewing so many products to earn such small amounts.
I made more than $50 with only ten reviews at SharedReviews. Sadly that is no longer a paying site, but I can earn a guaranteed $1 for 100 words at a freelance blog site, which I am going to try.

I have seen Ciao promoted by international users. It has been around for a long time so it's probably a reliable site, and I know some people do well there.
I have not lost anything at Shared Reviews because they intend to pay what we already earned there.
I will let you know if and when I'm paid by any other good sites.

I agree with what you're saying. I already had some earnings in my account there and I thought why not give it a shot and write soem more to see if they really pay. I have written an article about Review Stream, so my readers are actually waiting for me to post my payment proof. I guess I'm doing this for them. Anyway, I'm looking into Constant Content to sell my articles and reviews. I wonder if I will sell any though. I also heard that SharedReviews no longer pay. I have not tried, so did not lose anything. Some said Ciao is better than Review Stream. I don't know whether it is for international members. Will check it up! If you get paid at the freelance blog site, do tell me. Maybe I want to join too.

Thank you bombshell! Actually it wasn't double. My earnings increased five-fold since last month. Last month, I was just earning from 2 sites, totalling $20. This month, I earned from 4 sites, totalling more than $100. I'm so happy. I hope to make more money online. Since I'm a stay at home mom, this is an excellent way to earn extra money.

WOW! that's all I can say and congratulations my friend! It is so inspiring to see a lot of my friends here in mYlot, who really enjoys and work hard to earn online.. I'll visit that site of Review Stream and I'll give it a try it as well.. I hope I can earn like you do.. I am just starting to enjoy online earnings.. Congratulations!! That's great! I got into Review Stream too, and felt it was really too much of work for a pittance. But I guess it does feel good to get all that money at one go. :) Even my brother got paid by them.

I feel the same way too! I took a long time to be able to reach minimum payout and wrote so many reviews. But it does feel good when I managed to cash it out though. Although each review does not take too long to complete but the length we need to write is almost equivalent to a short article. BUt I'm having a problem with Review Stream. They deleted my account. They thought that I have plagiarised a review. I don't know whether I should appeal to restore my account or move on to other sites. I'm lucky to have been able to cash out before this happens. It may be a blessing in disguise. I'm going to try for Ciao now. Maybe the money is better there.

Terrific, that sounds very exciting! Is the site hard to maneuver? How long did it take your to learn how to do the reviews so they would accept them? Can you invite a writer and get referral rates? This sounds interesting. Thanks and take care

The site is not difficult at all. But there is only one thing. People were used to registering for a site, but Review Stream does not require that at all. You just need to write a review and all correspondences go via email. There are two ways for a review to be accepted, at bulk rate (40 cents) or full rate ($2). I have been receiving most of my reviews at bullk rate in the beginning and got demoralised, because it does seem impossible to reach payout that way. But after some tips from fellow mylotters, things changed and I started to get several $2-reviews. You just need to write at least 200 words for a review to be considered. That's it. You can invite a writer adn get a certain percentage of their earnings. But there is sad news. I got kicked out by them. They thought I plagiarised a review I wrote. So my account is deleted. I have to start all over again. I wonder if they would still accept me.

I am proud of you! I have written about 10 reviews for this site in total. And surely I did not request for the payment. I did not understand the situation at the beginning that there is no registration on this site. And to tell the truth, I do not understand why they publish only 10 reviews from the person per month. I think that writing for constant-content.com is much more profitable.

Why do you say that they publish only 10 reviews per person per month. I definitely have written more than that in a month. I must have written 38 reviews in 2 months or less. So I don't think that is accurate. Try writing more. My next stop would be Constant Content. Have you been paid for any articles there? Can reviews be sold as well at CC? I signed up recently but have not written anything there.

Review stream is a good site and they accept the review. I have tried but I fail because they say we are not interested you can sell it some where else.I think there must be some deficiency in my writing. Wow, I really envy you! I tried to submit one review once just to try it but my review denied, they said that it was not specific enough. Do you know what that means? And can you give me some good advice on how I can make it on Review Stream? I am still beginning to write and haven't blogged for once but I know I have something in me that can make me a good writer and I have some good ideas to write. I just don't know how I can get it out of me and be paid at the same time.

Are you saying that you tried to submit, but they did not even consider it? In that case, it means that your review is not long enough, try writing at least 200-250 words.

I wrote an article relating to my family's first dine-in experience at Tender Bob's, a steak house in one of the popular malls here in the Philippines. It was I think not less than four hundred words. I tried to detail out our experience that day from the time we have seen the menu outside the restaurant to the time when we actually went inside. I think RS wants me to detail out the taste of the food there but since we only ordered quite a few, and it was our first time only, I wasn't successful in doing that on my review.

There you go. Philjas has replied accurately. Reviews at Review Stream must not have been published elsewhere. I'm curious to the 2 review sites you are writing for. Care to share with me? I'm looking for better review sites than Review Stream.
Yes, philjas. Sometimes Review Stream takes a long time to reply. There was once I submitted about 8 reviews at once and they only replied to me after 1 week! I was getting very worried then. But all's well. When you have written a certain number or was it when you have reached a certain earning, you will get instant confirmation of your earnings. This means that as soon as you submit your review, you will know how much you will get for that review. It also means that you get to bypass the review team. I had instant confirmation once I reached $40 in my account. That pushed me through the last lap and was able to cash out about a week after. I know that our bad experiences may deter us from continuing with a site. Are you writing for any other sites?

NO. Review Stream has a major rule about submitting content that has never been published anywhere else.
I'm one of those who wrote a couple of reviews for Review Stream then quit because it's frustrating getting them to accept. It wouldn't be so bad if they'd reply FASTER but it takes four days even if you're resubmitting something for a lower rate that they've already seen.

I know that it takes a lot of effort and determination to make it to payout. But I had wanted to knwo whether it really pays. Now that experimentation is over, I'm looking into other sites which may have better rates or where I can earn more with the amount of time I put in for RS. Do you have any suggestions?

I'm sure glad to help others. I know that sometimes we do not know where to start and just need a little guidance. I have been surfing the internet to find ways to make money online. I have been afraid to jump into any particular site because they might be a scam. I have been scammed before, you see. So I tread with caution. I know how difficult it is to find out which sites are scams. So I did lots of trial and error. But myLot has changed all that. When I read about someone getting paid by a certain site, my determination to pursue is renewed. Since so many people have been paid by RS, I was determined to find out for myself. I'm so glad I did.

I am right now not a member of this site. Can you tell me what is the site name. And i also want to know what are all the ways by which we can able to make money through this site. I also heared lot of people who are talking about the reviews and surveys but nothing really pays. Some days before i heared about awsurveys people in the net chatting, told me that they are the one who are really paying for taking up the surveys. I got registered and submitted my surveys but nothing happened. I requested for payout after several months past still i haven't got anything under my belt. So if you suggest me something by which i also can able to earn money on the internet i will be thankful to you.

This site is at reviewstream.com. I do surveys from time to time, but I don't always get invited to do them, so my earnings from survey sites are minimal. Many of the survey sites also pertains to those in US, which I don;t qualify. So I'd rather write reviews.
At Review Stream, you just need to submit 200 word reviews to them and you will earn either full rate of $2 or bulk rate of 40 cents per review. Another way to make money here is to get referrals. If you're interested to be mine, I will PM you the link. No obligations of course. But I still do not know how to check about referrals. You need not register to write reviews for them. You just need to fill in a pen name or real name, whichever you prefer, and your email address where the email notification will be posted to. Stick to the same whenever you write reviews for them. Once you have submitted, you will first receive a confirmation that RS has received your review. They will then review it and award you the amount. You will know that in the next email. All the best! so wat does this mean i will be getting bulk rate or just normal one...
and how many reviews should i submit to get the money..
