Hey all who can give losing weight tips, can I do this diet. I am a pure vegetarian. And I am trying to lose weight. Hence planning to give up all rice/wheat based products. Will it help?

No I don't believe that cutting out all rice or wheat products from your diet will help you lose weight. They are needed by the body to process into energy and by cutting out carbs completely you will throw off the balance of your body's nutrition. The main things to focus on are cutting out or lessening fats and high fructose corn syrup. Also eating at regular intervals throughout the day and keeping up good portion control is vital. Exercise is the main way to lose weight there's no two ways about it, you only lose weight if you're burning more calories than you are taking in.

I do walk for 20 minutes in a day also do a lot of household work. Still not able to lose weight, hence was thinking of cutting on rice and wheat intake.

Walking is a good exercise to warm up or help maintain weight but will not help you loose weight, the best low impact exercise that will burn a lot of calories is swimming or interval training. Also exercise is beneficial if done for at least 30 minutes a day.
