When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up? Did you stray away from that or is that what you ended up as, or are working to become now? I wanted to be a veterinarian when i was a kid. When i got to high school i changed my mind and decided i wanted to be a writer. I went through 3 years of college before i realized that ym love of animals never went away and that is waht i was passionate about and decided that was what i wanted to become again. So now after all of that I'm wokring my way back to becoming what i wanted to be when i was a kid.

I wanted to be a hooker like my friend Tracy's mother! She was always so pretty and sparkly and had lots of boyfriends and lots of cash! Back then I didn't even know what a hooker was, but that's what they said Tracy's mother was so I wanted to be just like her! To make a long story short, I DID become a hooker, and have enjoyed it for over 40 years!

In my child age i am really looking forward for a police officer. But when i grew up i realized that it needs a good physic to become police officer. So when i grew up i thought that i can able to become a teacher or a software engineer. Luckily i got both jobs. Now i am working as a software engineer in the evening hours i am teaching the young buds. Really both jobs are giving lot of pleasures to me. I am not doing the teaching job for making money instead when i teach lot of good buds. I feel good, i know by properly teaching young fellows we can able to cultivate a good nation. I am really leading a cheerful life realizing the importance of a teacher. At first i joined software engineer as a professional. But i love the teaching job.

When I was younger, I wanted to be a pilot of a spaceship. I was into Star Wars as a kid. When I started growing up, I decided that I wanted to be an architect because I was my dad was really good at it so I wanted to follow in his footsteps. In high school though, I was introduced to computers and programming. By the end of fourth year, I made a tough choice. I decided to take computer science instead of architecture as my major in college. I did that because I wanted to become a game developer. Now, I'm working as a software developer. I dropped my dream of becoming a game developer because I found out about networks, network security and computer security.

when i was a kid i really wanted to be an Astronaut but i never realized how hard it was to achieve. When i was in high school my love for space and technology grew even more and i decided that if not an astronaut i will become an astro physicist, with all the hurdles coming in my way i am now studying science in my college and hope to be known as an intelligent astronomer.

I wanted to be a lot of things when I was younger. Unfortunately I never stayed with many of those dreams. Kinda hard when you have a younger sibling that can out do you in almost everything you do. So in the end I finally settled for becoming an art teacher. I still want to be an art teacher or an early child hood teacher but I'd like to get into something more for summer work so I'm still not sure completely what I want to do. And if you ask my partner I still haven't grown up. lol So I don't think I'll ever completely figure out what I want to do.

When I was little I wanted to be a nurse, but that changed as I got older because I didn't like to get shots at all or be stuck for any reason and I didn't like the idea of having to do that to other people either. I changed my mind and wanted to be a secretary. Over the years I did do some secretarial work but now I work at home as a medical transcriptionist for a local hospital. I have had a contract with the hospital since 1998 and I love my work. I especially love getting to work at home.

I believe that it is a good thing that you try to achieve your goals at this stage. Sometimes you need to do other things in life and experience different courses of action before you really know what you want to do. It sounds like you really have a passion for the animals. You are a special kind of person. I am a stay at home mother and I would like to return to school one day and earn a degree in psychology. That has always been something I wanted to do since I was a teenager. I am now forty years old and sometimes life can get in the way of certain things. I am happy I have my five year old but he keeps me pretty busy. I think I am going to wait until he grows up a little before attending school.

I could never achieve my dream job!! As a child I was hoping that one day I would be able to join the armed forces, this was a precious goal for me. When I reached the age of sixteen though and wanted to enlist, I was told that I was not suitable as I had asthma! I still have asthma and it's likely that I will have this for the remainder of my life. First I applied for the Royal Navy and they told me that I needed to have a clear chest for five years. I then applied for the army and then the Royal Air Force! They all said the same thing. So, I didn't know what I was going to do at that point. After being lost and downtrodden for many years I finally made my decision to enter IT. So, computers have become my dream instead. I have completed a computer maintenance course and I plan on studying many more courses in IT, constantly updating my skills as the technology keeps on changing. I did feel depressed at first but now there's acceptance. It sounds as though you went through some turmoil yourself! It's good that you have finally come to a decision though. I too love animals but I think that I would be a bit squeamish when it came to caring for them and treating them. All credit to you for wanting to do something like that. Andrew

When I was a kid, people would tend to ask "What would you want to be when you grow up?" For me when I was a kid I wanted to be a fireman, today I don't really know why I chose that, maybe because it sounded good for me. Right now I am studying computer engineering and planning to pursue a job which is in line with computers and stuff.
