What is your reaction to praise? Are you gracious? or do you downplay it?.

At times people give us a word of praise for things we have done. If you were at the receiving end of it. Do you react graciously or do you downplay your achievement and say, it is nothing? How would you react to praise? Your reactions would be most welcome. Thanks in advance.

I'm not a big fan of praise. I just don't feel like I deserve it or feel like I've actually done anything huge. So I guess I'm the kind of person that downplays any praise that I do happen to get. I may say thank you or whatever but in my head I'm just kind of like..whatever.

Good question and to be honest enough I like to hear those good words by heart but I have learnt to show off 'Take it easy'. So, my facial expression does not change at all. I politely say, 'Thanks'.

I say thank you when I believe I deserve credit for something and someone compliments me. Since I believe I should be helping others when I can, I don't like to take credit for things that I should be doing anyway you know.
