....Freelance Home Writers? In my email I got an email about this website where one can earn money writing in blogs, articles, short stories, etc and was wondering if one, it was legit, and two if it really does pay well. Or, is it complete crap?? Here's the link to their website {Warning: This is not a referral link, but a link to this particular website} http://www.freelancehomewriters.com/ I'm asking since I know many of you are writers, and may be trying to find other places to earn money from their writing skills, just like I am by writing articles for Associated Content.

I looked around the site since I never heard of them before and I still am not sure if it is legit or not. What I do know is that they say they will give you your money back but what they don't say is how much it costs to join

I'm finding out it's actually a scam...its only a website to order software on how to write.

I've just had a look at the faq's on this site, it looks like it's been around for several years (6 stated). Suitable for people from most countries (not just U.S.) Payment suggested is $10-$50 per hour or up to $450/ fiction story. However they do say that if your not satisfied they will refund you so looks like you will be charged to join. At first glance don't see any price though. I prefer to get paid from companies, NOT pay them.

It's some kind of scam I'm learning....you supposedly are lead to a webpage where you have to buy software that tells you how to write basically...and for a fee...so forget that, right?

Oh pyewacket I get two or three emails off them a day, I have even gone so far as to fill in my details. The thing is I do not know if it is a scam or not, I know that when you get to step two of step three they ask for a payment of about $2.99 but I have never paid it because I am just not sure what I will get in return! If I thought that there was something good at the end of it then I think I would give it a go cos this one looks really tempting and interesting.

Oreo posted something how this site is a scam...you think you're only going to be paying the low fee, but then your credit card keeps getting zapped by more charges...sheesh..looks like another scam thing

I have seen it before. If you respond you will get drowned in junk mail. It is at the site hits4pay.com. They deal in only junk. This is a definite scam. On another note, Associated Content.com is a legit site that does pay fairly decent. They will take anything but you earn the most off of the calls for content. I have been writing for them for a month now and have made a little spending cash. They are no get rich quick scheme, but give a little extra cash. They pay really quick too. ONce you are published you have your money in your paypal in a matter of minutes.

I know Associated Content is a legit site...I'm one of their regular Content Producers there...I was just trying to see if this other site was legit though

If it is the same one I am thinking of, they charge a fee don't they? I get a lot of emails from them and they might be a scam and might now be, I'm not real sure. I know that as soon as I saw they charged a fee, I closed the page off and deleted the email. I know some legit places that charge a fee for freelance writing jobs but I don't think this one is legit. I could be wrong though. :)

I have never heard of them myself which means I've never had any experience with them either. Was this just sent to you in some random email or what? Cause I'm just curious if they're out spamming people or not.

Hi pye, Well, it looks like you've done a wonderful service for your fellow myLotters, once again. I see the responses here regarding these people, are mostly negative. I too have received their info in my deleted items, several times. I must say, I 'was' intrigued, and had put the info into my business folder. I guess there's no use keeping it now. One of these days, I'm determined to try my hand at article writing. I just need to take the plunge, and see what happens. Thanks.

Yup--the responses here do look negative...I was really hoping for another outlet in earning money with article writing...oh, well. In fact, I just finished writing an article about Alternative Medicine...that is using herbal remedies....and submitted it to Associated Content

Sorry, I haven't heard anything about them. I checked out the site briefly and it looks like they're offering guidelines/advice on writing but that's all. I could be wrong.

From what I'm getting though in some of the responses is that this is a scam thing..maybe you're thinking of another place??? One has to buy software that tells you how to write basically...it doesn't seem to give places of where to write though

Lol, someone left a tag "ldyjarhead". I haven't heard about the site yet, so I went to take a look at your link. As I was leaving the site, it gave a "Do you want to leave now?" pop-up toting some "offer" which would still appear whether I hit "Cancel" or "OK". It's not a very good sign in my book. I don't have time to do a full check on it now, but I'll be employing the usual methods I use that I outlined here when I come back online in a couple of hours. http://www.writinghood.com/Online-Writing/How-To-Tell-If-A-Writing-Site-Is-Legitimate.256087 It appears someone has already done search using ("name of site" complaints)

Thanks ever for the link you left...I've bookmarked a bunch of the articles written there and even joined up that one writers forum Accentuate Writers which looks like could give me a heck of a lot better tips on where to write for.

Speaking of articles making.. Is it true that they really sent payment. But they also asked for an entry fee., like fanstory.com. I am submitted my articles at triond which do not collect anything from me. Freelance Home Writer could even more improved your writing skills

I really don't need a program to improve my writing skills as I've been a writer for many years...I just thought this might be another outlet where I could get writing jobs.
