If you were going to sell "high end," how would you do it?

There was a lady where I worked to day who has the most beautiful birds. She wants to sell them for serious money (like about 500$ each). She has been coming to PetSmart to socialize the birds and hopefully to interest prospective buyers. I told her that she needs to go somewhere high end. Like a yaht club crowd without joining a yaht club. There is a charity auction that attracts people with serious money. But I don't think she could bring her birds there. However, they are high end relatively "rich" people.
The food I demonstrate at PetSmart is considered High End and the worse gas and food for people get in price, the more high end my food is getting to be. So how would you find and pitch to high end clientele?

Well, I'm clueless about this one, writersedge. There's only one thing I can come up with and I'm not sure it's feasible. A person could go to the wealthier areas of town, record addresses, and then do a mailer with information about her business and the birds. It could be a one page flyer that she folds and tapes or staples. But she would have to address them to "Occupant" at the address and pay for the stamps to mail them.
Other than going to street fairs and festivals in the town (if that would even be allowed), that is all I can come up with. And there would be some cost and footwork to do it. I'm sure there is a business person out there somewhere who can lend some very helpful info here.

Provided the street addresses were for anything besides fire trucksin other words, 911 addresses. Many people use P. O. Boxes and not their street addresses. So then many of them might end up thrown away. Some people get mail at both. But we had people stop getting mailbox mail during the letter bomb/mailbox bomb days.
Maybe during the Pet Walk if there are any high end people there.
It's fun to brainstorm with you. It's hard to sell high end when you don't run in those circles. Thanks and take care.
