My daughter in law and I scrapped last night until this evening when she went home. We had to get some supplies at the scrapping stores and she has been looking for the cropadial big bite since she had heard of it....well we found one and used it and I can tell you one thing.....it's well worth the money. We were able to put eyelets in the middle of a 12x12 page! Wonderful invention. So if you need something to put on your Christmas list and like scrapping or stamping this is one wonderful tool!

One of our kids bought me a scrapbook with decals, sayings, etc. I just can't get into doing this project. I have no interest and don't know how to motivate myself to put it together with our grandkids. Do you have any ideas or helpful hints? Tried to get our other daughter to do it for me and she has no interest. It's probably because I don't understand the best method to use although I understand the concept.

Thanks so much for your hint. You telling me there is no right or wrong way to do it also makes me feel better. I thought there was a special method. Don't know that I can make myself take on a big project like the one I have facing me.

I would just go on the internet and find some pages to look at....then see if you like them and start from there.....my sisters scrapped for years before I started and now I just love it....I am into stamping though and they are not....but we use alot of my stamping things for scrapping too....but I would just sit down someday and check out some pages on the computer.....there really is no right or wrong way to do it.

I haven't tried the cropadile yet. My daughter bought one and I'll be going down to her house end of October, and we will be spending a weekend while I'm there at a scrapbook weekend retreat. I'll have to try her's, she also got a cricut, which I'll be using, and from the way she talks, I'll end up buying one too. Then we can each buy different cartridges and share them! Don't worry be scrappy!

Same group hosting it, and it will be at Va Beach again, just different hotel. We'll still get to scrap with a view of the beach and ocean.

We share a cricut too.....and most of the other things we have for scrapping. We did something interesting this weekend. We bought the decor vinyl for the cricut and made a plaque for the wall.....it's so pretty. We bought the Jasmine script cartridge and it's beautiful! I am excited for you that you get to go scrap...is this the same place you went last year or are you trying a new place?

I saw one on QVC once, and it looked amazing! I think I will put that on my Christmas list, my husband always wants to get me something for my creative pursuits, but he never knows what.

That sounds like an awesome little thing. I haven't heard of it yet, but then again I am new to scrap-booking. I will have to look for it when I got shopping for materials in several months lol. Right now I just need to develop film to work on my books more.

I saw one of those in a scrapbook magazine. It looks pretty cool. I bought a Silent Setter by ProvoCraft and I really like it. Since I do most of my scrapping after the kids are in bed I can't make a whole lot of noise. I imagine that the cropadials are really quiet, but they didn't have the big bite where I bought my tool. How much is it (if you don't mind me asking)? My husband is using my setter for his geocaching lately and I wouldn't mind having something that I'm not forever having to borrow back!

Forty bucks....and I don't think that is too bad considering what it does....it can bite through plastic and everything.

That's not bad at all - especially if I can get it at Michael's with a 40% off coupon!

Well, I was scrapping. But then my girlfriend told me I was doing it all wrong. Well, needless to say. I put it all away and I have not taken it out in awhile. Until my great niece who is 6 tell's me Auntie I like your book. Well, I gave her a lot of my scraping stuff and now when I see her we do that. She made me realize not everybody needs to be so perfect. And as I have a learning disablity that made my hole month. No year. So I get some scrapping things at thirft stores and dollar stores. Have a nice day. Your friend onlydia

You know what? If you do your scrapbooks your own way then it's the right way...there is not cut and dried way to do it...and if you like it then it's right for you! So happy scrapping!

I agree with you, there is not right or wrong way to scrapbook. It's whatever you like, and as with anything, the more you get into it, the more different ideas and techniques you learn and use. I've never met a scrapbook page I didn't like! lol

Yes, I agree with you on the cropadial...big bite. It is wonderful and fun to use. I took an embellishment class at the local scrapbooking store and we used on on the layout that I picked. I bought one and think it is so nice because of the ability to use eyelets in the middle of the page...even on a 12 x 12 page. It would be a good gift anytime. Happy Scrapping!!!!

Hello Jill. At first when you said "scrapped", I thought you meant you'd been fighting and arguing...LOL! I am not much of a scrapbook person, but I wish I was. I've been working on a photo scrapbook from our trip to Japan, but it doesn't look so great. Anyhoo, this Cropadial big bite thingy sounds pretty cool. From what I can gather, it makes decorative holes (sort of) in the background pages, where you put the pictures and stuff, right? I'm gonna have to look at it the next time I go to Michael's craft store.

It's wonderful for placing eyelets.....you can get to the middle of the page. On some of my pages today I was able to put them where ever I wanted and for card making it will work too!

Hi Jill, I didn't even know what scrapbooking was until I joined the Lot, it seems very popular in America but not so much here in the UK although my daughter for her 21st birthday received one of her life in photos and poems and comments from different members of the family and friends since she was born and is something she will treasure for ever, her best friend contacted us for pics of when she was a child and funny moments she had had and her favourites toys etc. The tool does sound wonderful though for those that do this and are creative. Huggles. Ellie :D
