Anyone watching this anime? It's an OVA based on the manga and it's hilarious. Every episode is about 13 minutes including opening and ending.
Soichi Negishi is a shy young man who came from the ural Ota Prefecture to Tokyo for college and wished to become a pop singer. However, for some reason he became the singer and songwriter of a metal band named "Detroit Metal City," with a stage name "Johannes Krauser II. Whenever he wears the heavy makeup, Negishi becomes a completely different person, shouting the most vulgar profanities beyond anyone's imagination. With the popularity of DMC increases, Negishi starts worrying his double personalities can have negative effects on his (romantic) life off stage. But I must warn you, it's really vulgar (he's singing about raping and killing his parents and stuff like that)

I just see some slides of the anime. This is an interesting anime because the singer of a metal band somewhat likes acoustics? I mean common, he doesn't like Metal that much. and He really acts different outside than in the underground concert. There is a live action film to this and I think It is near to released it's DVD version. The one who will played the main characters role is the one who played L in Deathnote Live action. hOpefully enjoyed it.

Yeah, he hates metal and he doesn't want anyone to find out that he's in the metal band.
I'm looking forward to live action.
Yesterday I saw last episode of the anime (12). I hope they'll make more because manga is still running.

I haven't watched this anime yet, but I have watched the movie entitled "DMC" also.
Well, this topic makes me curious to watch the anime. Maybe I'll go browsing the videos of these episodes you told.
I wonder if Negishi in the anime is as funny as he is in the movie. Overall, I think the movie is so amusing. I can't stand watching it without laughing :D

I couldn't help myself from laughing out loud every episode! hahaha~ This is so funny! Awesome anime!
I guess the art really is deliberately like that to make the story line the star of the series. hahaha~ Kudos to the makers of DMC! @chiwasaki (4695)

I haven't watch the anime yet. But I watched the live action movie and I really enjoyed it. I'll probably watch it as well. One of the best and cool Japanese movies I've seen.
