My experience with computers. I have been using the computer now for about 7 years. I had to teach myself, I bought many books on computers one of the books is The Complete Idiot's Guide to Computer Basics. The other one is Leo Laporte's 2004 Technology Almanac. I also watched a progam by Leo Laporte that came on Tech TV called Call For Help. My first computer was a rip off, it was an old model I bought from a family member it was very old had been thru 2 different owners, at the time I was ignorant of computers, nothing that come with the computer was made from the same company, the monitor had one name, the tower had another name. It was a bomber. I paid $400 dollars for it. It was a windows 95, i couldn't do anything with it couldn't download anything. The next one did pretty good for a while I bought it brand new from WalMart an EMachine . The motherboard went out in that one. I am on my third computer now. How did you learn to use a computer were you self taught, or you took computer classes? How have your experience with computers been? Good/Bad

We had computer classes in high school and some college courses. They were all mostly for PC but when we got a Mac, I had to learn by myself what the differences are. I think most of my experiences with computers have been good although I'm not as knowledgeable as Boyfriend is with computers.

I did take computer classes, but they were not of any use for a PC. Hard to compare a PC use with an IBM that used punch cards My first computer for home was made up of bits and pieces of junk computers from the college I worked at. It was okay, but a hacker came and wiped out the hard drive and that was upsetting. Since then I've been through three computers, two of which were like my first one and the last was a Compaq that I got brand new from walmart Just about everything I know how to do on a PC I have learned by trial and error. Mostly error

My first one was a dinosaur...I paid $200 for it and bought it from a friend. I am also self taught...I asked my youngest brother to show me two things: how to log on and off the pc and how to get on and off the internet. Everything else I learned through trial and error. I had the pc for about 6 years and although it was slow it still worked. I bought this one about 2 years ago from Walmart for about $400...it works great and we've done a few upgrades to it. its one of the many first wonderful things my late hubby did for me. in '95 he brought home a pc from work they were selling all the old ones for $ 75. it would hardly load anything. i learned from friends online about how to do different things thru the years.(still do) he got tired of hearing me complain and cry. in 2000 he got me a brand new dell. i still have it, but of course its way out dated. in '02 i bought one from Aol. then last year i got this laptop that im really beginning to l;ove!! i love my pc's and find it hard to give any up.

everybody can have good experience with computer if they know what it is? it requires minute skills to know what is computer it also depends on what purpose you are using. I feel it as good as I know much about it.

When I was learning computer manipulation during college, I was too excited. My experience was I had hard time dealing with DOS before. Then when I learned how to use Windows, there was a time when my computer hanged because the processor capacity was too low. That sucked! That's why I hate slow computers :)

My first computer is gang mounted with a samsung monitor. It ran slowly. However, in the past, I was proud of it. Now, I cound't imagine how I stand it. I am currently using an IBM labtop, which is cool. Maybe, a year later, I may change my mind and buy another one so as to go with the times/

My part with computers started long ago, when computers where not at all available in markets, if were, they costed the price of 3 dual cores of today. My first PC was the intel's first machine i386DX, with in-built RAM, Processor etc, except detachable hard drive of capacity 589.2 MB. As I knew nothing and being young to use computers, I would spoil it many times, then irritating others to repair it. But I knew we learn from mistakes, and I never went to any classes, I learned using windows by myself, from NT to Vista, Linux, MacOSX, all by myself. I have earned a Great experience about computers, now I don't seek help of others for problems with my PC, I do it own my own.

It was just over 12 mnths ago that my kids grandad brought them a pc and I didn't even know how to switch one on but soon started messing about with it until I broke it after a few months, so I did without one for a couple of months until I had enough money to buy a new one and since then I've had internet installed, I am in the process of setting up my own online business so I use a hosting company to upload all my sites and whatever else I need to run them, I've learnt hmtl, sql database, php scripts and loads more I'm always learning new stuff everyday, I'm amazed at myself because I never thought I would be doing this when I first had our pc.
