Let us admit it, our economy is very low and most of us want to work abroad. Although this may help our economy grow, I think it is impractical if all of us will leave the country. We are greatly affected by oil price hike and lesser job opportunities are available. Almost everybody feel that we are underpaid, while corruption is always being highlighted in the news. As a concerned Filipino, do you think our economy has still a chance to grow? If yes, what are your suggestions to achieve it? Thanks!

yeah it will grow but not now maybe we still need to count more than 20 years. we only need honest and dedicated politician and govt officials they are the responsible to our economy but they are very corrupt and they just want power a power that they use in a wrong way.

More than 20 years?! I am now 42 and I hope I am still alive by that time. So what made you think it would take that long? Just to inform you that corruption in any government is always present and it has been there for centuries. How about the common people like us? Do you think we can help? Thanks!

Yes, it has still a chance to grow but there should be a concerted efort between the people and the government. The government can helo small scale businessmen so that more jobs are created and more people will benefit instead of a few wealthy businessmen. The rampant corruption should also be curtailed to channel back to the people in form of public services thereby alleviating poverty.

i think we can still get over these problems in our life. we will be able to pull through the bad things and make it work. we just need to work hard and to work together on this.

Well as a Filipino Citizen I would continue dreaming it will happen since that is the only that is left. But in fulfilling that dream I guess it would start from each of us being a good citizens first. Well as a start maybe we might as well practice it on the streets by following the simple rules in traffic, then by being patriotic by continuously involving ourselves in nation building maybe by paying our correct taxes and becoming a vigilant citizen against corrupt officials. Many are complaining the government is doing something but let's look at ourselves maybe we are also a part why this economy is not working too.

Yes definitely, everything has a chance. If we only unite, promote peace in our country this are very possible. Unity will make our economy boom. If politician just stop graft and corruption, and people stop the war all over the country that make a negative effect on our economy, everything would be possible.

It's a long shot. But as the saying goes, if there's life, there's hope. I guess we just have to change alot of things within our society and within ourselves as well. Corruption in this country dates back from the spanish era. Imagine that. It's like a disease that cant be cured. Maybe because we tolerate it. For the country to grow and change, we, the people should also change. It's sad that alot are leaving for greener pastures but this is necessary because of lack of good jobs. The rich are not greatly affected. But it's the poor who feel the full impact of this economic crunch. They will surely become poorer.
