what are tears for ?

Why do tears fall ? Why do people cry? Why do we feel like crying when we are feeling too much pain... too much joy... or fear ?

Tears are an involuntary expression of feelings when felt to the extreme. A little bit of sorrow is not going to bring tears. Too much sorrow will. But I've observed one thing. Tears can reduce the burden of the heart...

Yes it does... definitely... thank you for responding. "Tears can reduce the burden of the heart", is exactly what tears is doing to me.. It doesn't take off everything, but at least it makes it lighter.
